There we drastical variables in weather as well… It wasn’t as dark when I took the domed picture. It was much later with the de-domed light & was trying to snow. Not to mention it’s my cell phone I am using to take them!!

…and the white balance is “auto”, which means that the camera tries to guess what it should be. If, and when, the camera uses different white balance for these shots, they don’t tell us much.
Which reminds me of the old saying: “A photo lies more than thousand words.”

I know some real flashaholics in here. Everyone I know told me to do this. ( I wanted someone to blame if I didnt like it ) I can tell you with no reservations. This light is throwing much farther… The actual kcd boost is being scrutinized as we speak. The stock kcd is right around 45 kcd… The reports I am getting from people much more fanatical then myself? De-doming can kick your kcd up to 70-82 kcd… Now I honestly am not sure what the hell that means. But I can say this… The light is throwing out farther than it was with the dome… And no, I don’t know why it’s doing it. I am just happy that it is… LMAo

Oh yeah! I just wish I could figure out how to get camera to pick up better…. It was really lighting the road up… But at 100 yards my phone/camera isn’t picking it up.
