Lightmalls shipping

How fast are they? Was hoping to order a gift and get it before the 12th. Any suggestions for a quick order U2 or U3 C8 by the 12th?

I doubt it could even get through customs in 10 days, let alone get their and get delivered.

Keep in mind all the sites that sell these are in china so you would have to get expensive shipping to get it in time.

They ship out fast, if that means anything. During non-peak times - I do get my LM orders in under 10 days.

But now it's peak season dude. I doubt anything under 10days will be a realistic expectation.

There is no way a T6 is doing 1600 lumens… You’d be lucky if it did 900 OTF.

Lightmalls is about average for delivery time 10-12 days. Scaru, I agree you, I purchased this C12 and the XinTD at the same time, it’s really bright. Definitely worth $16, tailcap reading was over 3a. There’s a review of this light on BLF by chriszou? Only thing bad is little room to grab light because of the added extra heat fins.

Thanks arn357 for the support, I am new here, and some people don’t seem very friendly — sighs… Oh well, seems like someone was asking about an inexpensive torch from Lightmalls, and I suggested the C12. I know they advertise this as a T6, but mine came with a U2, and did pull over 3 amps at the tail cap. I will have to post my flashlights as I own 20 or so LEDs and a HID 75 watt. Anyways, for a very inexpensive torch, the C12, especially if you get a U2, is a good deal for free shipping and about 17 dollars. Yes, Chriszhou did a review on this one.

FYI for Lightmalls customers, I received a reply to my inquiry on U3s and I will post the replay :

Dear (Flomotion)

The OP did ask for suggestions for a C8 and when you mentioned the C12 I thought I jump in because I recently purchased this light. I don’t have a light meter but this C12 is crazy bright. The price is right for a few of these as gifts. This C12 wow’ed me as much as my HD2010. Here’s the review on BLF C12

Someone here? Unfriendly? Heck, go to CPF and even the most confrontational here seem like friends. Honestly, it’s hard to find unfriendliness here, bro. But, we are all human beings.

That’s cool about the U2. Wish I could get one in time (by the 12th). Guess I’ll have to swap out a different gift.

Thanks, I had no C8 from Lightmalls, but had just (that day) got my C12. I was impressed with it, so I thought that I would suggest the C12, as I had played with it. I do have a Trustfire 6xQ5 which is rated at 1600, and a Trustfire Luminus SST-80 rated at 1800 lumens to compare the C12 to. There is a tall pine tree located about 300 meters from my house, that I benchmark my torches on. I was stunned at the C12 being only a one cell 18650 compared to the two cell Trustfires, I was impressed that it would even compare. Now there is much flood or spread from the 6 q5s, and the SST-80 is a thrower, but the little C12 did a good job in comparison. Now both 2 cell Trustfires are in the 40 dollar plus price range, and the lowly C12 is a tad over 15 bucks, so consider the difference in prices. Lightmalls stated that they would soon be offering some U3s, which I do not own, or have not built, yet…though I understand they will take a 4 amp driver nicely…

Well, the SST-80 is really just an SST-50. It began as a typo by some Chinese and caught on about a year ago. lol And the XM-Ls are more efficient than Q5s and any SSTs, which accounts for your being able to power the XM-L with just half the voltage the others need and yet still be close in brightness.

And I’m sure you’re aware that those “1800 lumens” claims on the lights are “Chinese” lumens (aka, they made them up, essentially out of thin air). The 6 x Q5 might actually be close to 1100 lumens, but the SST-50 is around 700, maybe. I’m sure it throws further and may even look brighter, but most SST-50s won’t exceed 600-ish lumens out the front. The exception is the Triton M31, which actually hits 760 lumens OTF (according to Selfbuilt’s review at CPF). Just can’t trust those high lumen claims.

But looks like soon I’ll be adding the C12 to my collection!

Thanks for the info, my eyesight is getting older, but I wondered about the SST-50/80 thing. And I do not have any flux measuring equipment, but did figure the Chinese would exaggerate, as usual. So my backyard benchmark pine tree is only subjective to the old noggin. But again, for a few measley bucks, the C12 is a cute gadget.

I ordered 3. december two orders and they arrived today 10th december. Must be my record ordertime from asia. Thanks alot lightmalls for that. I was abit skeptic about recieveng even before christmas from earlier experiences from ordering from china. This time it came from singapore i assume. Atleast singapore airmail was the shipping company.

I bought my first light from Lightmalls. It was my first overseas purchase. I paid extra for Fedex shipping. Ordered on a Thursday, got Tuesday the following week.
