My chargers seems dreadfully slow, it is a Trustfire TR001, this puts out 500mah, I also have a Ultrafire WF139 that puts out 450mah.
Is this not much output as chargers go ?, to charge up my CR123’s, 1440’s and 18650’s.
I did think about a newer(better ?)charger like the 6 channel xtar one.
Your thoughts would be appreciated with regard to output and whether there is any advantage to going newer, thanks

An SP2 is a good choice for multi-current selections. That one would be good for 14500s, 16340s, but would be a bit fast for 10440s and a bit slow for 18650s.
500mAh is a decent charge rate , and is a little high for the 10440 [ Over 1C ]
18650 - yeah they can be charged at a higher rate , but you may not see that much difference actually .
Its a funny thing , charge rate is relates to battery voltage , if you pop in a empty cell [ 3.5v resting ] you might see 1A charge rate , but as you approach 4v it will rapidly drop off to maybe 300 to 500mAh and once you go over 4v then it might be down to 300 or less , and depending on the curve its working on , that last few 0.1volts can take [ depending on charger ] a few hours ..
Im still waiting for the day, some switched on manufacturer adds a voltage meter to the charger [ for each bay ] so users can visually decide to terminate the charging process .
Thanks for that, and other peoples replies, this charger is one that I had been looking at, but I hadn’t even noticed the charge rate was better, as suggested might be better for me to buy some spare batteries, I’ve got 8 on their way so probably for now anyway won’t need the charger just yet.
Thanks for replies peeps,
