Test / Review: Efest IMR14500 V1 700mAh (Red)

Efest IMR14500 V1 700mAh (Red)

Official specifications:

  • Nominal Voltage: 3.7v
  • Battery Model: 14500 V1 Capacity: 700mAh
  • Positive: Flat top
  • Cycle Life: 500 Cycles
  • Max Charging Rate: 4.5amps

I got a pile of batteries in one envelope, not the best way to ship batteries, even when they are shrink wrapped. Efest have changed their packing.

The tracking between the batteries are not perfect, this is probably related to the bump in the discharge curve for the A battery.

Conclusion

These IMR batteries have good performance at high loads, but the capacity is, of course, not that high.
At the current time I can only rate them acceptable, because Efest is a new company, and the batteries is not from one of the big brands.

Thanks again for running all these tests HJK! It's an outstanding reference when one searches for new cells.

I'm glad to see some more action in the 14500 IMR category, even if they aren't overachievers. I'm assuming they're priced pretty competitively?

Thanks very much! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.
