I was looking at $35 lasers for the fun of it. One thing led to another, and the next thing I know, I had to have the biggest and baddest. I knew I would never buy another, so I went nuts with “wow” fever.
The next day I did research, and realized it was illegal to import into Canada. I thought “oh oh”. It came marked as “gift” “flashlight”.
Those Chinese think of everything.
If you notice in all the burning videos, they always demo the same three things. Popping balloons, lighting matches and cutting electrical tape. I think the matches have to be a certain type too.
I’ve held it to my skin from a foot away and only felt some warmth after a while.
Blah. Ouchyfoot, you are good at costing me money! I have been looking for a nice laser, and found one on there. Ordered the Power Rock 100mw green laser with optional diffusers which are fun.
For those who didnt see, the Power Rock looks awesome, Like a 2*AA sunwayman!!
If it makes you feel better, I’ve been looking at the blue Power Rock. Ive been keeping myself under control though.
I keep wondering if you crossed the beams of a green and a blue laser, would life as we know it cease to exist?
Our eyes are genetically tuned to green, as growing green things that vegetarians eat, and omnivores like us. So we can see 532nm very well, blues are like 445nm to like 470 (light blue), violet ones 405nm are almost UV so they are not very bright, but can still burn and blind. I have a Wicked Laser Arctic 3, 1 watt 445nm, and a true 400mw 532nm. I have to be careful with both, shining them outside, it is a federal offense to point them at aircraft, so the green will go 200 miles straight up. Some people will call the police just for shining them around, and both lasers can blind. I came here from LPF and Photon Lexicon using the same user name. I think lasers and flashlights compliment each other, so I do both and have and build both…good hobbies…
