Hi Myrns51

Welcome here. Enjoy your stay.

If the pics are wrong, then they are wrong on popbuying too. Could be Smallsun supplied the wrong product pics. Popbuying say it is 300 lumens which isn't all that great for 5 Q5's

The popbuying version of this small sun shows two different size batteries (18650 + smaller) I thought you couldnt mix like that. The measurement is a little different in length, and every other "1200" mutiple Q'5 shows 1000-1200 or so lumens. I cant believe a driver of 5 leds putting out only 300 lumens? thanks

I have a similar light, an Ultrafire WF-1200L, except that it has a single P7 LED in it. I think the battery description is wrong. It can deal with 2x18650, 4x16340 (if you can get them to fit), or if you take off a short adapter piece, 3x16340. You wouldn't want to mix batteries. I've never put anything in there except 2x18650.

Even among budget brands, Small Sun isn't one of the best, so I don't know that I would take a chance until you have a chance to read some reviews. If the driver can send sufficient power to the LED's I would think that you could get 160 lumens out of each of the 5 LED's for 800 lumens total. But if they're putting a weak driver in there it could be a lot less. I don't know anything about multiple LED drivers, but I guess it might be possible to find one of your own if that one is bad.

Hi there mryns51 welcome to the site! I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Just a general tip about buying from the budget flashlight dealers, it's a good idea to compare the product description of any given light on as many sites as you can find that sell it. You will often find variations of the description (for example, one site says Q3 emitter while another says R2), some of which are legitimate variations, whereas some of them are just careless or even deceptive bits of wrong information.
