shiningbeam

I have only good things to say about Bryan and Shiningbeam. It's probably not the best choice if you're outside of the U.S., but for good service, quick shipping, and accurate info he's the best. Heck, if there's ever a problem he can be reached on his cell phone!

That was the only drawback for me.

He doesn't send to my address unfortunately. So I had to go to GoingGear for an R5 ITP A3, and now I ordered my third (Jetbeam BA20) flashlight from GG, making $100 already. GG has a %10 discount coupon flying on the Internet and some items may come even cheaper than Chinese sellers.

So SB should have sent to Turkey.

Great store. I usually get my lights in less then a week which to me is great when you consider how long it takes to get stuff from DX.

The best part though is that he carries either a neutral or warm white option for most of his lights. So to me this is the best store to buy my budget lights.

+1 for Shiningbeam. I'm still on the fence for one if his new NW S-Mini's with the good regulation.

It's nice, surprisingly bright. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, if you like your neutral lights to really be neutral you should skip this one. According to his sales thread he had problem to get neutral emitters and had to go with a slighter cooler one. The problem is that to me it's way to cool, not neutral at all. The tint is so cool that I would never consider buying the light. Which is a shame since the shell is great.

Two thumbs up for Shiningbeam, and neutral S-mini also. I like it. It's the only neutral light I have so I have no neutral to compare it with, but side by side with regular Quark Turbo, it's way more neutraler... It's a bit chilly tint, sure. Not any warmth in sight. But it's not very cold either. Only thing I have to complain about it is that low is too bright. But as my Quark goes to sub 1-lumen, it's no biggie.

Don't know what you are accustomed to, but 6$ shipping per international order is not bad. I have ordered two times to Finland, and will be ordering in the future also.

I've ordered a couple of things off of ShiningBeam, never had any issues, and both times shipping was very quick.

Not cheap products by any means, but not unreasonable either.

Shiningbeam 6% off code: cpfuser

Brian is a great guy.

cpfuser implies...that you're a CPF user...

I have purchased many lights from Shiningbeam and have always been happy with the products and the service .

I used that code on my last order. I still feel a little dirty.

Placed an order yesterday, a few hours later my order was confirmed, another hour later I received a tracking number. Now that's as fast as it can only get!

Considering the $6.00US for shipping, I can't complain, not-at-all. That's in the €4.50EUR ballpark - mind you, you cannot even send a regular packet for that in Germany, let alone intl' shipping.

Then again, I got burned badly by lighthound.com - they had charged me a WHOPPIN' $32.95 for shipping. McGizmo switch, small tube of Nyogel, couple of GITD lanyards. All came in a padded envelope. A padded envelope! thirty-frickin'-two dollars! I mean, c'mon... they can't be serious!

I have to say Bryan is partially responsible for my flashlight addiction, the first real flashlight I got (not counting the about 10 Maglights I have had for years) was a Romisen RC-C3 with the neutral emitter, at the time I did not know any better but wow what a nice light. The color on this little beauty is amazing it looks just like an incandescent, I still use this light every night as a night light I give it a twist and tail stand it and it lights up the whole bedroom with a very pleasant glow. My next real light was the S-Mini I skipped on the neutral because I wanted maximum brightness and at the time I was waiting months for DX to still ship my orders. I get my orders from Bryan in two days mostly, three maximum but they always ship the same day. Everything I have ordered has worked and is excellent quality, what more can you ask. I recently got a neutral 14mm XM-L that is absolutely amazing. The prices are a little bit higher than the other guys but in this case you get what you pay for. I had an issue with my S-Mini I e-mailed Bryan, about two hours later I get a return e-mail try that with DX. When my non flashlight friends ask were can I get this or that I always recommend Bryan because non enthusiast don't want to wait weeks and sometimes months for stuff that might not even work when you get it. So basically you can't go wrong with Shiningbeam.

I'll bet I've purchased a dozen lights from SB .

Great service every time .

By the way , SB has this light on clearance right now ,

Romisen RC-G2 II Neutral White WW LED Flashlight in Black

Price: $15.75

I own two of these and if you don't have one , or any light with a 5C tint , this is a bargain .
I wish all of my lights were 5C tint .

I love the speed of shipping from SB and his communication with his customers is unparalleled. As long as you make a decently sized order, the $6 shipping isn't that bad. :)

I've ordered rc-n3 and g2 switches, a couple holsters, an RC-G2 and an X-Thrower. The X-Thrower (not really a budget light?) came with some extra goodies as well, a lanyard, spare switch, rubber for tailcap and a holster.

btw the rc-n3 switches were also a near perfect replacement for the switch on my Ultrafire s10 in case anyone is looking for such a part :)

I have always wondered if they had a walk in shop. Since its near enough to me it would be nice to have a local place I could just walk into and pick up a driver or switch. The shipping is fair already, but i'm in Brooklyn at least twice a week.

If SB had more variety I'd buy ALL my stuff from them. Simply the best dealer!

IF you live in the US.

When I'm there this August I have a bunch of orders for him. And Lighthound.

Shipping kills the deal outside the US.

Don?

They have charged me six dollars (£3.63GBP), for intl.' shipping to Krautland.

You are perfectly right in one point though; vendors from North America are well-known for notoriously inflating international shipping charges to the most ridiculous numbers... Guess how often some ebay-seller quotes "59 dollars 1st class priority air mail", and when I receive the parcel after six-to-ten weeks, the stamp reads like "$19.98 international economy". Great, just f*cking great. 30-plus dollars for some additional crosses and a sign on some stoopid form at the post office.Wish I could earn money that easy.

so I am very happy over "just six bucks".

Also keep in mind the bird bringing that parcel over the big pond burns fuel in excess of six bucks... MUCH more!

Now, I can offer you to shop for your stuff at shiningbeam and then ship it to Scotland. Hate to see someone unable to get the parts he likes, especially if he has helped me out on QTC pills before like you. Don, no extra shipping charges from me... I owe you that. I'm serious, even if I'll be burning some money that way.

Simon

p.s.: padded envelope arrived today, took a total of four business days. Everything was packed individually, the driver boards and emitters had additional wrapping. I couldn't ask for more.
