Actually, SF does have such switch: http://solarforceflashlight-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=LF&s=41&id=198&sname=tactical&xpage=1&sh=1
Btw scaru, so far the AW IMR18650 still seems to be the way to go. We have some promising cells from Samsung and Sanyo coming from the far east, but that might take a while.
LG and Panasonic are out of this contest, no cells with according specs available and Sony have been tested and those are inferior.
Oh, and of course I will modify spring and switch. Using flashlights without any springs gives me a bad feeling about squishing them..
Part of the reason I'm obsessing over this so much is when I'm going to use 12 gauge wire within the drop in, I might as well reduce resistance everywhere else.
This is a knife switch, you said you wanted a switch to handle 21a, I suggest what you want is a switch that fits a solarforce host that handles 21a  J) 0:)
Ah…ahem. This has already been built and sold both in triple and Quad mule configurations.
Link? Search should be fairly easy…The players do reside at CPF
Over at CPF, there have been some conversations about reducing the forward voltage of LED’s by shocking them with high current pulses. I believe it was a SST-90 though.
A123 LiFePO4 cells will give you much longer times above 3.1V, but max voltage will be around 3.3V Plus the 26650 cells can do over 200 amps into a short… 70 amps won’t faze them.
