That is some kind of reach for such a little thing.

The terrible ifs are accumulating.

I bought my dad one for X-mas. I wanted to buy one for myself, but I already have a lame pa-40. This nitecore doesn’t have a low, low, either. But it seems like it can throw. Can it throw? I heard it’s lux rating being tossed around at 22k?

Just received mine today – somehow smaller than I thought it would be which is great – and yes – it’s awesome!

Where did you see it for $59?? Goinggear has them on backorder for $61.56 with their 12% discount coupon. I was going to order it from them. I'd like to avoid buying from China if possible. BTW, I sent Shane an email on the Fenix TK75, never heard from him..

At 20,000 lux, it will have less throw than a TK35 to put that in perspective.

Hi Rick

How does it compare in brightness and spill to your SL3.

Thanks Bruce

the sale is $69.95 plus $2.60 shipping. No place to enter a discount code.. I don't want to spend that much.

I am so tempted to buy this light…

The Journal of Alternative Facts TM

"It is critical that there is a credible academic source for the growing and important discipline of alternative facts. This field of study will just keep winning, and we knew that all the best people would want to be on board. There is a real risk in the world today that people might be getting their information about science from actual scientists"

Don't worry about it Rick. I decided to wait for more feedback on the TK75. I want to make sure the off center emitter problem the one BLF member is experiencing isn't common. I'm a picky SOB Smile

BTW I ordered the Nitecore EA4 from Illumination Supply. Can't wait to get it!

Glenn, I think you will really like it. I just shined the SL3 and the EA4 at the ceiling and the EA4 had a tighter and brighter hot spot.

Well, I’ve decided to pass. My logic is this; I own a pa-40 neutral in the same led bin/tint. The Ea4 neutral is a XML t5…If it were a t6 neutral, I’d buy it already. I’m waiting for a better XML neutral tint. Hopefully the t6 is it….Besides, I own a thrunite tn30 neutral XML t5 as well. Also, I’m waiting for Eagletac’s new light….That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. (as I try my hardest not to buy the ea4)…I will however look forward to my dads response when he receives his ea4 x-mas gift.

Thanks ILIKEflashligts, for putting the throw in perspective.

I have a G5 Maelstrom that I run with an 18650. I wonder if this light has a bit more spill than the G5 with the extra throw? I believe the G5 is around 12000 lux. Would 2000 mah Eneloop’s work well in it ? Also, won’t the cool white throw a little better than the neutral ? I basically am wondering if it would be a big enough improvement over the G5 to be worth the change.

Thanks
