My Nitecore EA4

To be honest i wish i had gotten this light instead of the cyclone but i didn’t know about it at the time

I’m partial to the blue also. but that’s all preference

Is the flashing red power switch the low battery indicator?

How much less bright is the light on the next level down from the top ? It sounds like high would be very temporary due to heat.

and receive the light in about 3 days

Thanks for the beamshots but I decided to pass as I have too many lights at almost the same lumens!

thing thats so attractive on this one isnt the lumens, its the form factor of it

im just waiting for someone thats actually bought it that has something negative to say… dont see it coming though

Only thing is they need a low lumen…say like 7-10 lumens…then could be utilized as a survival torch also wtshtf.

I’ve got the feeling they’re gonna do it lower in the second run. It’s only thing kept me from it up to now.

Check this out

This is how they sit side by side, S65, Tk35 and EA4.

TK 35 definitely has a bigger head.

The low on TK35 is lower of course.

Tk35 has a greener tint than EA4. EA4 on the right, TK35 on the left. Both should be at Turbo.

EA4 on the left, S65 on the right, on max for both. S65 is green but can’t be seen on these iPhone photos.

S65 has a lower low of course.

I checked with Hank Wang at Intl-Outdoor when it was first introduced. He informed me that it was T6 3C. This seems about right for the newer released flashlights. I noticed that Sunwayman has also released a C20C neutral T6 3C.
The new Nitecore EC25 also comes with T6 3C.

T6 3C really has a good tint. I have them in my Shadow TC6 and my DIY Stainless Steel 26650 light. It is nowhere as dim as regular neutral or warm tints. I stacked some from Fasttechs sales.

after playing with this light for 3 days - this is a keeper for my collection. great neutral tint with a modest amount of throw and useable spill, runs on eneloops and aa’s, small form factor (I love short, stubby lights like the King, TM11 etc. they just feel better and are more fun to me), good electronic switch.

my only gripe is that there is no mode around 10 lumens, but this really isnt that bad. I edc a keychain light with a micro mode.

at $59 shipped I will never sell this one.

Just got a shipping notice from illumination Supply!. That was fast!

Just ordered one from HKe, curious about comparing it to my Maelstrom X-10.

I had planned to make the Zebralight SC52 my next purchase, but the groupbuy might take a while as there seems to be a shortage of them, and how could I pass up a nice light like this for $59!?

Why not give the little lady another chance too look at my newest find and just shake her head?

Cool, I got mine from them in 2 days!! You won’t be sorry, Congrats Glenn!!

everybody’s talking throw

if this had beam profile of pa40 I’d have bought it already!

Thanks Rick!! I hope it comes Saturday. If not, I'll have to wait till Wednesday. I'm leaving Sunday for a few days to spend Christmas with family :)

flashlight man says that the EA4 kills the PA40

I think he meant that if the beam of the EA4 were floody like the PA40.

EA4 is more of a throwy beam
