Probably goes without sayin’, but I plan on putting items on my wishlist, then just checkout when the magical time arrives. Hope this is not like the local auto dealer ads…only one at that price. :~ I reckon if the items are not in stock…then I’m not out anything anyway…’cept a little time.

I was looking at that exact light too. Thinking outdoor flood light (if it proves waterproof).

Hill: garrybunk: OscarM:. . . if the stuff i’ve ordered is good, I guess ill be buying a bike light in a couple of days, and maybe a couple of other lights 0:)
Yeah, I was looking at the cheap bike lights to just use them as a host - replacing the emitter (to neutral white) and perhaps driver, although I don't know what the drivers inside these are like. $12.43 for this one.

How do you like your cheap bike lights? how long does the battery last, is the charger working good? is it ‘good enough’, or would you advice to spend a little more on such lights?
I did a break down of the XML version here.
I have not really put it through the paces, so I cannot say much about battery life or charging. It is very bright, though, as bright as a typical XML light driven near spec. Beam profile is very throwy, so I added a diffuser lens (also shown in the thread I linked) which helps to spread the beam out nicely. I have since purchased the SSC P7 version for $20 from the DX clearance sale. It is essentially identical to the XML version, including accessories and output is pretty much on par with the XML. Again, the beam is very throwy, but I will probably keep it stock since the XML light has the wide angle lens, hence, I'll have nice throw and spill.
9xt6 for 50 is very good too I paid 90 incl shipping

Thanks for the link! Great pics! Driver modding seems feasible, but a little difficult with that switch right on the driver board.
