Rumours of my death have been slightly exaggerated...

I thought I'd just write a quick post to explain my sudden absence.

I slipped while trying to avoid standing on my cat while coming down stairs and ended up falling the rest of the way down, breaking my ankle and messing up my back rather badly in the process.

Anyway, I can sit up again now so back to the geekery! :)

Oh dear, sorry to hear that Pook. Glad you're still alive and kicking though, thanks for the update!

Welcome back! Take care of yourself, those injuries are probably quite serious.

Jeez, Pook. I'm glad you're... alive. The same happened to me more than one time, trying to not to squash my pet. Hope you get better soon. Take care ;)

Not a lot of fun. I did myself a bad back injury 30 years ago while trying to lift a Transit van (don't ask) and it comes back for no apparent reason every so often. Not a lot of laughs.

Hope it all heals up quickly.

Ah, that sucks! Really sorry to hear that, Pook. Hope you get better soon!

Pook! Dang...wondered what happened to you. Hope you feel better soon. You know why this happened right? Because cats are evil, flashlight-hating, little monsters.... This was your cats attempt to keep you off of the forums! Well, you've got some reading to catch up on now, so get to it!

Welcome back Pook! Im glad your injuries werent any worse. Get well soon.

Glad to hear you are on the mend.......

Glad to see ya back Pook! Sorry to hear about the accident. Both of those injuries are no fun. Back problems are horrible especially! I spend 3 months this year off work for a back injury and its reoccurring every few days still. Best wishes!

Perhaps attach a light to your cat and leave it on strobe so that its easier to see/notice ;) heh.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Pook.

Next time though--just step on the damn cat! Laughing

If you need a beagle who don't fully understand cats or much care for them lurking around her house ...I may be able to hook you up.. Glad to hear you'r feeling a little bit better .. ouch broken bones are only cool in grade school < some of the best 19years of my life

Sorry to hear of your mishap. I've done the same thing myself as I have a cat that likes to sleep on the top step. I only sprained my ankle though.

Ahh.. thanks guys :)

The most annoying thing is I know she sleeps on the stair & is the same colour as the carpet! Which is why I always look to make sure she isn't there.

Apparently I only think I always look..hehe.

But the rumours of your breath are true :p
