Valid only for you guys in US?

"Limit 1 per person. Limit 1 per order. Valid only on eBay.com in the U.S."

You must have an eBay account and PayPal account registered in the U.S. to redeem this Card. For security purposes, a credit card or bank account may be required.

I guess it is US only.

Pity that. Still, I will be in Pittsburgh in August. Better start saving.

What's going on in Pittsburgh in August?

I may add that a doctorate will help my continued employment.

It'll be the first time I've been in the USA.

Looking forward to it!

Good for you Don. I've always wanted to see more of the continental US and probably will someday. I have lots of family from my father's side in NY, NJ, PA and other cities on the east coast that I would love to meet one day. I'd love to buy an rv someday, start on the west coast and very slowly work my way east.....someday.

Isn't that going to get terribly confusing at work? :)

Thanks for the tip. I was the 3rd viewer, and pulled the trigger right away. I was surprised I hadn't seen it on the 'deals' boards I frequent, and had frequented that morning. I was a bit worried, kind of like wondering in a "who benefits" from giving $8 to Ebay members, who already have a PP account?, but Groupon is reputable so I signed up (maybe that was the point: garner new members). I saw on a forum people openly abusing the deal; sad. Pretty pathetic.

I did tell a friend about it who also signed up. That friend has recently gone from "unemployed" to "under-employed and overworked" so this is nice.

I did get my Groupon email "coupon". It says "your coupon is ready to print when you are ready", with a URL, and that URL rudely containing my full email address.

Help me out:

Is it a 'use once' URL, and must you really print the coupon to use it, or can you see the code and simply write it or copy/paste?

I'm assuming it's used like a promotional code during Ebay checkout(?).

Most importantly, does this coupon expire? Because I did pay $7 for it!

Most interestingly, the rules stated that leftover coupon money would be transferred into one's PP account(!).

you use the code after you make an ebay purchase. lets say you spend $5, under paypal checkout you input the code then pay now. the leftover $10 i guess will be credited to paypal.

That's part of the fun!
