Review: Nitecore EA4 (4AA)

Thanks for the review ezarc. Looking forward to your night shots.

Is there BLF discount on hkequipment.net?
they sell ea4 for 69$ now.
Thank you for the review.

Hi vyvyra, there are codes you can use on this page.

My NW from HKequipment is a U2 , code on the bottom of the box EA2W U2 SMO.
No rattle in mine either , using sanyo lattice 2500
hope that helps.

Ahh…All sold out.
Thank you for your codes.

Yeah mine says that too, Ill change it to U2. Thanks.
I have a few packs of Sanyo Harmolattice too, Ill try the later but I don’t think it will change anything.

If you look down the bottom of that page I think Illumination supply might have some for the same prce with the code EA4.

thanks for the review, some more pics coming up ?

Hi ezarc, thanks for the review!

As a side note, I don’t think there are U2 NW emitters!
So it will probably be a T6 NW

Correct me if I’m wrong

Its 7:50PM now and still light. It should be dark by about 8:30-9PM and Ill go for a drive and take some beamshots.

Also some of the threads and plastic ring that I was talking about and if anything else comes to mind.

Hmm, I had “XM-L T6 (unconfirmed)” written but it does indicate its a warm U2 on the bottom of the box as well.

Maybe Ill ask Nitecore, I didn’t think they were made either because I have never seen them offered before.

Great! Now waiting for some more pics!

Def not a T6 I have quite a few T6 3c and compared to them this emitter is slightly rose coloured.

Hank Wang says its a T6 3C. All the boxes say U2 on them. I think you’ll see a sticker covering that on newer batches.

It will have to be a sticker covering a sticker then

Very nice review and very nice light. I want this light, but I can not afford it…

1 beamshot up, working on the other one now and should be posted in 30 mins or less.

2nd beamshot added.

How many lumens ultra-low has?
I think it wasnt advertised at first that this light has ultra low, no?

Thanks for the pictures ezarc. Is there that much difference between the two different lights in actuallity? You must have a very understanding sister in law.

The “ultra low” is 65 lumens, its what Nitecore call it in the manual.

And yeah there is quit a big difference in light output, the PA40 puts out enough light to see pretty much anything in viewing distance.

I prefer PA40 but I’ll try to make myself use the EA4 more and maybe Ill warm up to it a little more.

It feels like the EA4 is made for baby hands (my hand takes up just about the whole handle of the PA40) and thats probably the biggest reason I prefer the PA40 over it, but it does pack a lot of punch for its size.
