The olight sr95 are some of the largest I have seen,like I said earlier I put the MTG2 in the TN31 reflector and it didn’t throw very well.The sst-90 reflectors at illuminationmachines.com are huge but tend to flood the beam because of the diamond shaped pattern.I think x7 and x6 might be big enough but spotlight is probably ideal at 5 to 6 inches.
Check out the “Lena” reflector it has an 11 degree beam, 111 x 87 mm and a 14mm hole for the led, looks promising!
Dang that’s big,but I still think a large SMO reflector would do it justice.Many ledil are designed for downlights or display lighting and boast a narrow beam but are still floody.Let me know if you get it,I’m interested in the results.
I’m still doing research for something bigger so I can put it in a regular spotlight, going to check on aliexpress…

There was talk of a smooth 128 mm diameter x 120 mm deep reflector in one of the ST90 threads.
Little more to compare with on top is the sky ray king and bottom MTG2 modded zy-t13,king is brighter but not by much.King is cool white just to clarify,shots were taken at 10 feet from the wall and 30 seconds elapsed time.I also went further and measured amps at the emitter and got between 3.2 and 3.4 amps,which lends credibility to match's figure of about 2000 lumens.That seems accurate as the king is around 2300 lumens and to my eye,there's not much difference.Heat is definitely the enemy here,I timed the visual evidence of thermal sag at about 4min.19sec. where it dropped in output considerably.The middle of the light was hot but not to the point of unable to hold,so right off I can say a copper pill and a more robust host is needed to handle the heat created.I love this light more than ever now but I realize the inability to handle the heat makes impractical for over 5 minutes of use.

in most situations where I’d use a flashlight with that much output and throw, I’d probably be moving enough to help with cooling, at least a little.
Now that is an interesting reflector, quoted as having a 4 degree beam!
Thanks and you’re right about the moving to cool it!I toyed with the notion of de-doming(even though I’m not a fan of it)wondering if it would give SBT… type of throw,since I had only one I got cold feet.Maybe soon if I get some at a good price and get up the cojones to try it.

Yikes,$1500,spread out I would be interested if it’s what I’m looking for.Maybe we should see if there’s enough demand?
The Elektro Lumens ST90 has a LUM 5-90, 95 MM faceted reflector, in that thread they were looking for a smooth
reflector that would just change out, hoping to get more throw. I thought that price was for a custom
run of 250 pieces “smooth version of the LUM 5-90 reflector”
This was the 128mm that was mentioned in the email that TyTEK recieved from Illumination Machines.
“Following up on your interest in a LUM 5-90 reflector without facets. As would be expected with this design, the intensity would increase approximately 25 – 30% the beam becomes slighly narrower, and color and beam uniformity becomes worse – but may be acceptable in your application.
I also want to offer an alternative for ultra high performance. This new reflector was designed for the Luminus CST-90 LED source, and achieves an ultra narrow 4deg beam, with approximately 2x the cd/lm performance as the LUM 5-90. The size of the reflector is 120mm tall by 128mm diameter”
It may be new, and just not listed on their website yet.
