My Nitecore EA4

If you get the end of a leather belt around the bezel, then grip the belt/bezel in one hand and body of the light in the other, you should be able to undo it.
I did this with my olight s10 and it worked nicely.

I'm sure that would work but Craig's sending me a replacement. I don't want to mess with this one. Thanks for the helpful info though :)

Sorry if this questions has been asked and answered already, but how does it compare to C8?
Hows the throw compared to C8?

another good trick is to use the bottom of your shoe - the rubber bottom grips the bezels without damaging them.

Craig

Mine has the rattle issue, the bezel has no problem, it has an even gap.
I have it from Illumination Supply.
Craig said it may be a loose screw inside.

What is the proper tool to unscrew the bezel?
I have tried shoe rubber, not worked for me.

My NW rattles to beat hell, the CW has no rattle at all. :frowning:

I took apart a few EA4s which have the rattling problem.
The culprit is the white delrin ring
I’m not entirely sure as to the purpose of the ring (other than to fill up the empty space in the light, but some are ever so slightly thinner than others, and cause the rattle. This does not change the reliability of the light at all.

Craig

Man, he beat me by 2 minutes. I guess I was right on my findings.

I was wondering why the title suddenly changed!

Craig

whats it, go around the bottom part of the reflector to keep it centered?

yes, it’s right below the reflector. However, due to the size of the reflector keeping the reflector in place
and the centering ring around the LED, this seems like a bit of overengineering on Nitecore’s part.
which bit them in the backside, lol.

Craig

Good to know it's not going to cause problems down the road. Now if they can just screw the damn bezel on straight, I'd be tickled pink. lol!

Hi Craig

How much extra run time would the 2700mah powerex offer vs the 2000mah eneloop ?

Thanks Bruce

Is rattle demon free. Hope that those who do have the rattle can resolve the issue.

Looks like the rattle can easily be fixed with a couple of small dabs of silicone sealer

I didn’t bother putting anything on mine, it don’t rattle hardly at all. Wish I knew Craig was going to take one apart… now I know whats in there…

My replacement EA4 shipped. Estimated delivery is January 2nd

Great news!! Craig is a great to deal with. Glad everything worked out.

I'm very excited Rick! lol! I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning! Yeah, Craig's awesome!

I know exactly what you mean, when I tracked my PD32UE today and saw that it was coming I kept watching the clock waiting to hear the sound of the mailman… It’s always nice when you have orders coming it gives you something to look forward to!!
