I'm not sure whether this is BLF or what, but I keep gettings ads on the side of my screen; it isn't always. Maybe 1 out of 20 pages.
So is anyone else getting these, or is just something on my computer that is putting them there?

I have ads (when AdBlock is turned off)
Whats more interesting to me is that you have 15 BLF tabs open
lol.. just noticed that too
The only way to do a great work is to love what you do.
Wow, 15 BLF tabs open.. So YOURE the reason I keep getting the DRUPAL error…
lol… that is interesting. now we know why the downtime lately
i only get them on the left side for dx and efest. then some text links below that
-the- Throw calculator - Pulsars list
I haven’t noticed any.
I just paused AdBlock. I'm not getting any ads on BLF
Boycott Nike
I only get the Lighttake banner at the top of the page..
the DX at the upper left…
and Efest in lower left, then below that I get “addchoice”..some text only ads, no pictures. Always been that way for me. Nothing ever pops up on the right.
LOL, I never turn AdBlock off – just allow it for 1, maybe 2, sites.
Multi-tabs? Best way to read BLF I’ve found so far!
I turn it off rarely or pause it etc, rarely some site don’t work properly with it on.
I multi tab on here a lot too but 15 was a surprise.
How strange. The Google ads should be text only, and never on the right side of the page… Anybody else seeing this? I’ve never seen it. If you see this, please click on “view source” for the page and copy it into http://pastebin.com and please send me the link.
Thanks a lot!

I use AdBlock too, but I disable it for any board I read because the people running gain a little for the ads. BLF has very unspectacular ads, so anyone thats using AdBlock: please disable it for BLF.
If I were the admin, I would implement a "please turn off AdBlock" notification if detected.
Ok, the next time it is there I'll send you the source code. Since no one else has seen it, it must be a thing with my computer.

The little “Gear” at the upper right hand corner of the advertisement suggests that its coming from a Chrome extension. I would seriously doubt BLF has anything to do with it.
copy/paste this into your browser bar (where it says “budgelightforum.com/….” right now)
chrome://chrome/extensions/
and see if you have any suspicious Ad Delivering Extensions installed.

I don't think it's that as I have not installed any new extensions recently. All of the installed ones I have had for at least 6 months.

Haven’t seen anything like that either.
No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
My Reviews: Ma
I first noticed it a day or so ago. Clicking the gear takes (me) to a page about how ‘foxlingo’ (firefox addon) is add supported, yadda yadda… I don’t (and never have) had this addon installed.
The sidebar was a javascript-added div tag that redirected users to lax1.ib.adnxs.com/click
Sorry, I don’t have the actual source anymore. I was trying to ensure it wasn’t a drive-by download onto my system and only showed up on those few sites where I have adblock disabled. Next time I see it I’ll post.
As for the ad, yours is better than mine. mine was like a creepy old lady peeling off her face.
I have adblock on mine. Didn’t noticed ads til OS reinstall. Some of them are pretty nice & relevant to the forum. Though if I was BLF I would try to get proceeds or more ads from the companies most BLF’s are buying such as: manafont, Trustfire, t-mart, kaidomain etc… Cuz it really sucks that the majority of the ads are for dealextreme.
In all seriousiness I would go as far as photoshopping my own pictures and having BLF required flashlights. Call it the ‘BLF noob package’ for the new addicts. Only 599.99!

It sounds like the XM LEDs won’t really be suitable for flashlight use. Pity…
Ok, it's up but there is no view source choice. I'll leave it up until someone tells me what to do.

Please right-click in the whitespace somewhere on the page and select “View page source”, and then copy it into pastebin. Thanks for looking into this!

Oh I was trying to right click on the ad itself.
Ok here it is.

As this is the first time since then it has come up, it seems to be a rare occurrence isolated to my computer.

Rare, but not isolated (I’m sure a few of us have hit it and just ignored it).
I had this problem only under firefox (not IE or Chrome) and it didn’t load when I had firebug active.
I also got that ad.

Clicking it gets me there:

But I dont have foxlingo installed.. and scaru even uses chrome.
I see only DX and EFest on the left hand side of the page. I’m using Firefox 17.0.1
So I'm not the only one!

Yes, but you are still special.
Bingo. It’s not BLF. It looks like its HKJ adding some javascript to his posts.

I’d never noticed the ad’s before, but you are right – they appear on the two linked threads. I’m using Windows 7 & Firefox 17.0.1
