Just caught this thread…nice watches. I’ll take some pics of mine and put them on. I don’t have nothing too fancy, but I look out for watches at junk shops, do minor repairs/battery replacements and will start to sell them on ebay.
Anybody else sell watches?

Krono, that’s already impressive! I bet you use Li batts in them even knowing that we can’t bring into the ground with us.
Btw : I’ve used a G-Shock since they 1st appeared! And for GORD’s sake, you’re only a handful of posts away!

“It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.” – Sydney Carton in ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ by Charles Dickens (1812-1870).
That’s not me lol but I edc a suunto vector. If it’s good enough for MacGyver it’s good enough for me.
Seriously though I use the barometer and compass a lot and I can wear it on the outside of my jacket while hunting and the temperature will be accurate.
the invicta was a gift from my step father. he is big into the big invictas. this one at 46mm is pushing how big a watch i would wear.
the armitron is a little small at 36mm. but its my work watch so its all beat up, and dont get in the way
the bulova is about right sized, but not a fan of rubber straps. that one was a gift from my uncle
ive also got small wrists, ive got to take usually 4 links out of the bands to fit me
Any clue as to which watch forums are best for noobs like me? I joined watchuseek and so far they seem very friendly and helpful. What about selling watches…ebay or somewhere else?

im really not sure, i dont have a soft tape to measure. i wrapped a wire around my wrist and then measured, and it came to about 8.25”
That is not small, mine is 6.25”
Wow, I thought mine were small!
yeah, me too lol
i really do like that invicta i got though. i just got it for xmas, and ive got to go get it resized still… and the blue wouldnt have been a color i chose if i were buying it. but i still really like it.
my mom and her husband have got quite a few watches. i think hes got somewhere around 15 invicta and android watches, probably some other brands

Wow, I thought mine were small!
I have also roughly that size, 6,5” maybe, not sure.
Anyway, it means that I´ll have to keep an eye open for watches at 42mm MAX, preferred size is somewhere around 37-40mm depending on how large they wear.
Really is a bit of a pain, 7+” wrist would make much more models available to choose from

6.25" is tight around wrist with soft tape measure. My current watch band is 17cm (~6.5") and is just the way I like it.
I’m a fan of simple, stylish watches like that, however, I’m also practical so I need digital. I just can’t get used to watches again since I’ve went without for a few years now. That black one is slick though.
I have a basic Timex windup watch that I bought in Basic Training in Georgia. I think I paid around $12 for it. This would have been just about twenty five years ago. It would take me a while to even remember all the countries that watch has been to with me.
Timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I picked this one up on Amazon about a year ago for $60. It's built like a brick shit house and keeps close to perfect time.
A couple of Casio G-Shock watches.

Nerd Fixed that for ya LOL
I love Sg-1 just thought MacGyver would be more universal. Awesome watch though.

I'm a huge fan of SG-1 as well as Stargate Atlantis. Staregate Universe was good, but not nearly as good as the other two
Sorry to be off topic, but I canceled my Netflix account because they dropped SG-1 and Atlantis...

How big is your wrist? I just measured mine at 7.75 inches.

I don´t know about that but I´ve got very significant help on that old Sea-Gull ST5 from WUS.
I like the place…
I think ebay for sales is OK, many also sell via forums.

I used scotch tape. I made sure it wasn't compressing my skin. Took it off and used a ruler... So mine is about a half an inch smaller than yours
