Shadow SC600 vs UF-T50 -- Winners Announced -- The Lights Are Done!!!!!!!

Shadow Update:

Tests performed so far: bury in snowbank overnight, leave lit underwater in basement sump for one hour, wash with laundry in washing machine twice, on heavy cycle both times, dry in dryer for 40 minutes, bake in oven at 200 degrees F for one hour. Both lights survived but one clearly did better than the other — so far, that is! But which one?

Remaining tests: freeze overnight (lit) in blocks of ice, defrost and boil with eggs for breakfast. Then off to scaru!

Stay tuned — details and pictures will be posted just after the giveaway closes, probably on Friday.

I’m assuming you will take the battery out, but it’s still dangerous. The flashlight is basically a sealed container, with no way to let air escape. When you reach boiling temperatures, the cylinder may vent violently (small explosion) sending boiling water everywhere.
Just a friendly warning. I’ve been scalded by boiling water before… not fun.

Roger that.

Wow! Sounds like they have already endured a heavy amount of abuse! Can’t wait to see the results and photos!!!

Bandwagonner here. Zebralight is my go!

Zebralight SC600 will win. Thanks a lot ! ! !

I though scaru was the resident expert on washing machine and drier tests?

Tallied up votes so far:
Zebralight SC600: 58 votes
Ultrafire T-50: 39 votes

Still pretty close.

After liberating them from solid blocks of ice from being frozen overnight I boiled them with two eggs, then dumped the boiling water out and immediately filled the pot with cold water. Plenty of pics to follow after the giveaway closes.

My tests are done and have mailed to scaru. Have some jaw dropping pics to post once this closes. :open_mouth:

You know you really are a nut case, don’t you.

I think you should have done all of these tests while holding the two lights.Tongue Out

The tests so far would kill the average human being, so if the flashlight owner is dead, who cares about the light itself? LOL.

I just got to play wid ya a little bit. Time to go clean up the O-L workshop and prepare for for the incoming patients. Let's see, I will need two hospital beds, plenty of bandages, some more pills (for me).Laughing

I’ll vote for the zebralight.

I own an SC600W. Seems to be a very sturdy light except I think the switch may be a weak point.

Edit: sorry, looks like I didn’t join the forum soon enough. Still interested in the outcome of this though.

Now for the results of the tests.

The SC600 prevails.

Will let you in because haven’t posted results yet. But you’re absolutely the last.
