FastTech ships blazingly fast..............................

I’m surprised it takes DHL etc. to get it to you for so long.
If it’s not a rush it’s here from HongKong to Europe in 10-14 days on average. China is a bit different and seems much slower

DHL and such, how long do they state it will take it to ship it?
From where to where. As that seems really slow, I would complain with the shipping company, $30 for 2 weeks delivery? Unacceptable. I’ve had a promotion price new product with free shipping sent to me via “DHL next day” inside Europe and it’s been here next day. I didn’t know it’s going via such service I was surprised what the heck did it arrive! Free shipping and they send it via next day delivery. (After waiting 3 months in a queue after it’s release and production, so I wasn’t in a hurry for it.)

actually i placed the order on Christmas ( 50% off)… but it turn out they didn’t ship my packages until 1/4/13 :frowning:
so… i’m just guessing i’ll get my package 15 days since i placed the order… is it worth it?
well… i already saved $150 from those sale… why not splurge a little for faster shipping… that way i can play with my lights a lot sooner

I have an order coming, and I used the LAUNCH code and got some off. I have heard it is better to use BLF, and somebody said in another thread the the new code is GOTECH. So I don’t know if LAUNCH expired, BLF works all the time, or if the new code GOTECH is to be used. I order about 70 worth of drivers, panasonics, emitters, etc…

DayLighter: it’s been holidays, no wonder they ship it in January. Most shops and places are closed during last week in December.
Placed my order yesterday evening, today start of afternoon, shipped with a tracking number. So IMHO it’s at least packaged and marked and maybe even at the post office or will be today. That’s 1 day from order to shipping, I’m satisfied. Now it’s up to the post to get it here.

GOTECH is old and doesn’t work anymore.
LAUNCH gives you a discount on all products.
BLF gives you a discount of the same % on certain products, batteries yes, some other things not.
CPF same as BLF. <— tried it and it showed the same discount.

You can actually try the codes when you have stuff in your cart and see the discounts, simple and easy, I like!

Haven’t had time to try some more, any ideas or luck guessing codes?

What could be changed is the limit for registered shipping, though the price for it is reasonable. Under $15 you have to pay some cents to get registered shipping, depends on how much is there left up to $15, the closer you are the less you pay for registered shipping.

I like to keep my orders low, because of the $29 (22€) limit in EU to not pay for the customs. Otherwise it’s immediately +$8 +20-22% tax.

The Small Sun ZY-T08 is now up on FastTech - $24.95:

I think someone who is a regular long time poster on this forum should start an official FastTech thread that can be edited a little over time… Im not the person for it since I am on and off.
Im talking about a Sticky Rating type of thread…
Looks like this store should get on get a “recommended” approval… at least if they don’t mess up for many people in the future…
I have not used them myself, but have read through these pages and done a lot of browsing on their site. They seem to be good. So far i have this impression

Pros:
Good looking layout nice design and pictures (spec sheets seems decent too)
-Lots of cheap DIY stuff (leds, drivers, etc)
-Generally low prices
-Fast shipping (for a Hong Kong store)
-BLF discount (5% if using “BLF” code on flashlight stuff)
-They have a member on this site

Cons:
-?

Neutral
-Customer support seems good, but I has to be reviewed over time
-Limited amount of more “pure” enthusiast flashlights (Have not seen cool unique flashlights. Not that many “high-end budget lights”. Where are (XM-L) neutral white lights?)
Edit 1 day later: But decent lights and new lights seem to come in all the time… I have seen driver options and led options…

I am happy with them. Fast shipping and some good prices. I’m not really a big fan of the search engine though. It’s too specific I would prefer to be able to simply browse.

I really can’t complain though.

I will add my order to the list that shipped within a day or so. Just ordered a few drivers and AMC7135s and now that I have they listed the 380mA version.

Ordered 03.01.13, shipped 04.01.13, paid for registered mail, tracking number at HK post says:
The item is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 9-Jan-2013.

What does that mean, that its still in HK?

Yep still in Hong Kong. It will say processed through next and that means it’s on the way.

Got my 18650’s very fast, ordered on Jan 1 recieved on jan 9 and even got an email today informing the items were delivered and if everything was ok and if I was satisfied with my order.

Thanks FastTech for your awesome service! Will order from you whenever possible from now on, you are a model of good service, hope you live long and prosper!

DarkSide,

I agree with your more-even-tempered attitude here.

The details I seem to crave (it’s tough being Dim) are sparse now, but I can see them being added, and FT always seem ready to reply with assurances that anything I’ve mentioned would be moved up their to-do list. They’re paying Close Attention, even if that’s all they do. (Obviously that’s not all they do!! :cowboy_hat_face: )

Re: turnaround time: I am at Day Seven (7) on my first, “test” order ($53+), and the tracking (thank you!) shows it still in Hong Kong… FWIW, as I understand it, the order is in the rough hands of the Postal Service now, but it did take 5 days for them to Accept it. The time isn’t miraculous, but it isn’t bad either. Funny thing is (get this, FastTech), their Attention and close support make it a LOT easier for me to kick back and wait it out. I get the distinct impression I’m an E-mail away from an incredibly detailed shipment report, but I won’t bother them. Joy and Happiness prevails! Yes, you heard it here first: I’ll wait.

Like you, I am rooting for FastTech too, as it is Quite Plain to see their overt commitment to Customer Service. Pardon my French, but it’s about damned time!! If they can keep this up, and tap into that horde of treasure at Alibaba.com

:santa:

After struggling to be heard at … no, I have nothing to say about the old places. It’s nice to feel so loved now.

Hoping for Following Seas for that Slow Boat…

How long might something that has “processed through” Hong Kong, take to reach Southern California?

Both of my China orders arrived in about 3weeks. Their processing is definitely faster than DX. Shipping seems slightly faster. Their customer service is very good. I ordered one Rook per order and both Rooks had bad parasitic drain. Their customer service refunded the purchase price as well as the associated return shipping costs.

When I ordered from their US Warehouse, my order arrived within 1.5weeks and everything was perfect. Overall, I’m very pleased with Fasttech and will continue using them for my flashlight purchases especially through their US Warehouse.

cjoe

Is there something that tells you that before you place an order?

AFAIK, they aren't shipping anything out of the US warehouse. It all comes from China, but it comes through the USPS so gets here really quickly.

Just keeping the information flowing. (And waiting…) :email:

My order hit San Francisco yesterday.
Order Placed: Thursday, January 03, 2013
Shipped Monday, January 07, 2013 7:14:50 AM
Acceptance January 08, 2013, 2:53 pm
San Francisco: January 12, 2013, 6:46 am

Nine days to feet-dry? Not too bad in my book…

Now it’s up to the Pony Express… :stuck_out_tongue:

Dim
(PS: It occurred to me that this order has to come from a few different places. I understand enough about Logistics to know this isn’t easy. Maybe some people who have long lead times are experiencing this… I’ve read somewhere that someone tried just putting one item per order and got really good results. Just putting that out there…)

Ordered 03.01.13, shipped out 04.01.13, tracking number showed that it spent days at HK post office before being finally shipped out to destination country on 13.01.13, so its 9 days total.

Seeing that others throughout the world, not only USA, but also Europe, have received their orders within a week or week and a half, Im quite disappointed right now, I paid little premium for registered mail to get my items faster, but if it takes 9 days for order to leave the country, then whats the point in paying for registered shipping if its no faster than regular shipping service?

Ive had items from Buyincoins delivered to my place in two weeks on a constant basis, its not just once, all of my BIC orders have arrived in two weeks, maybe day or two more, but its surprisingly fast when compared to usual 4+weeks of shipping time fro other Chinese vendors.

I hope my order from FT will arrive in coming days.

As always with too much of hype I fear vendors might lower CS quality and shipping times might increase due to the fact that they will have enough reputation and customers and wont care about what people talk about them here.

My order arrived from Hongkong in 11 FAST days. It sat in HKpost for 5 days (waiting for the camel to arrive perhaps?! Blame HKpost, not FastTech.

Im buying from Fasttech and not from HK post
And if FT says that registered mail will get to me in two weeks, Im expecting it to get here in timely manner.
But, Im still waiting for my item to arrive so I will reserve my final judgement for later+Im going to order more from them later on and the we will see how fast their next orders will be.

Order placed on the 8th, order received today: 7days to my door! Of course I can’t give Fasttech credit for Hong Kong post doing their job but shipping orders within 24 hours or so certainly helps. THANKS!!!

Got me a ZJ-T08 and am very impressed with the quality for all of $24! The reflector is NOT aluminum (its plastic) however it throws on par with my Shadow JM26 while being a fair bit dimmer. Heat-sinking looks awesome so I might just drive it at 4 Amps. I have a couple of XML U3s and AMC7135s (and a couple of drivers to take them so do a bit of de-doming, soldering and get this thing running above 100K lux hopefully by the end of the day!
