Disappointed with Wallbuys Christmas sale..

i was happy i’m able to get some nice lights and lights related items during their Christmas 50% off sale.
so since i saved a lot, i decided to ship my package faster using DHL… they said it will takes 3-5 days and it will cost extra $30 for both orders.
i said fine… just ship them with DHL,i’l pay that extra charge.
to make the long story short…i waited untill new year and i still didn’t get any confirmation from them.
i went to the website and it says 1 of the order was shipped… what the??
so i email Cherry and i asked why is my orders is being shipped separately?
no reply… i email her everyday for 4 days straight… still no reply.
finally on the 1/4/13… i got email from her… saying i’m sorry, we’re closed from 1/1 - 1/3… fine that’s understandable…
she said the package was shipped together and she gave me the tracking #.
but the tracking #s that she gave me was invalid… the DHL couldn’t locate the #s… grrr |(

so i email her again and told her i can’t track the package as the number is not valid.
next day she replied…i’m so sorry… the DHL gave us changed the tracking # without telling us…( WTH? i doubt it)
so she gave me a new one… i asked her again… are you sure the orders was being shipped together?
she assured me , she already talked to the shipping dept, and they’re being shipped together already…

everyday i keep on tracking it… but since the day she gave me a new tracking # ( 1/4/13)
the package are still in HK… so i’m curious and decided to contact DHL

this is the transcript between our chat…

now at this point i’m F^#@!! upset that they’re playing games… this is reminded me when i was scammed by ebay seller… they kept on leading me to believe that the package is already shipped.

i was wondering if there’s anybody else have the same story? …
this is will be the last time buying from them again…i rather order from fasttech, even if it a little
bit more expensive but i know for sure my order is being shipped…they don’t play games with tracking #s
and their customer service are stellar in term of communication.

and i just got a new email from her saying… that shipping company says my address is wrong…they having problem with it… WTH???
i told her i placed 2 orders from wallbuys before and i paid with paypal and i’m able to receive the packages.
what do you mean they having problem with my address? sigh…

Ouch! Just ordered 1 more light on the sale going on now - 50% discounts now are extremely limited. Still didn't receive the order from xmas eve, but it does show rcv'd at Hong Kong post yesterday...

that’s what mine says too… it was still in HK for the longest time now :frowning:

i paid almost $200…including the shipping for DHL $30

They are claiming one of my items shipped Dec 30, with a tracking number but it still doesn’t show up at HKP…
On the other hand, there have been quite a few people getting their things. Maybe they just do not know how to run their ship that well yet (stock issues, price changes, overwhelming orders).
I have three reservations in, but I’m not sure I want to pay for them now… They are starting to concern me a little.
These sales are nice, but if they can’t get things running better I would not regularly shop there.

yea, that sounds a bit shady. Hopefully they were just out of stock with your items, but either way they should just be honest. the sale that happened tonite a few lights went “out of stock” pretty quickly then bout 20 mins later were back “in stock’ all of a sudden. seems like they would have to just recieve a new shipment to restock so quickly but IDK. Hope they are legit

I've had some communications with them, and they are really, really swamped - new biz, overwhelmed it sounds like and I think they must have taken a bath on that 50% sale.

I got the HD2011 rcv'd in decent time, but ordered it back in the beginning of Dec. I measured 3.5-3.6A on a decent battery, and that thing gets hot in seconds! Opening it up, I can see why - this HD 2011 is a piece of junk in my opinion, but was working on it tonight, swapping in a U3 1C, a 4*7135 1-sided driver, stacking another set of 7135's to get it up to 2.8A, which is really too much for this light - there ain't much there inside - nothing of a pill, a thin 1mm star mounted on thin anodized aluminum. I'd add some copper but there's no room at all with the stacked 7135's. Best I can do is pot the pill area. The host is that thin, cheap, plastic-feel aluminum.

hah…the fact that they ponied up what was gonna be available for the 10th and then on the 7th found out none of it was available….naahhh… Bye Bye Wallbuys !

wallbuys says shipped, tracking numbers say sitting in HK since the 31st. not acceptable . filing dispute with paypal.want my money back!

As long as my 50% off Fenix lights show up from Christmas, I’’l be OK.

can’t be in HK for that long… either they haven’t ship it yet or they just didn’t have your stuffs… and they waiting from their seller to ship it to them.
in the meanwhile they file an electronic shipping info to the shipper so the shipper can post it on the website.

@daylighter. if so they should let me know.period.44 days and i file dispute period. may not wait that long. depends how fired up i get.

i got half my order the other day, both lights are great, still waiting on one more. it is strange that they wouldnt ship them together but its there dime. this will be the third order ive got from them and so far all has been good.

much more then i can say for the bastards at Deal Extreme! spend countless hours to get there 1/2 off deal only to have them wait two week to tell me half my order is out of stock! then after countless emails back and forth i told them to go screw themselves and refund my money, which they have only refunded the expetited shipping i upgraded too, seems they dont want to refund the $49.99. no wonder they can offer 50% off deal when they have no intentions of delivering. i will NEVER deal with them again!

I just got my first package from them. :) somehow it left hong kong today and was still delivered...

Still, for me the process isn’t worth it for flashlights that are more impulse buys than must haves. I get a weird feeling when I have to work hard to spend my money. I feel like it’s a sign I shouldn’t be spending it :stuck_out_tongue:

I also kind of like the thrill of the hunt for that great deal.

come to think of it… they don’t offer those lights anymore on their website,
with my luck, they probably will write me an email and says” sorry sir, we don’t have those lights anymore … so we have to cancel your order”

I ordered a 2011 for $9.99 just after Christmas. No tracking number, no e-mail, nothing but a Q number, whatever that is. I was going to buy the SRK if it was 50% off. But at only %25 it wasn’t that great a deal anyway. Not when you can get one for $45 over at Fast Tech. I ordered a Sky Ray Rook from Fast Tech the same time as I did the 2011 and I have the Rook already. Nice little light too. ($28)

Oh well, I won’t say I will never order from them again. But it won’t be anytime soon after reading the complaints. They will either step up their game or be gone.
