I had really great luck on my first Wallbuys order so I’ll be curious how this second one turns out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes longer since I ordered more items this time.

I have this mental image of some poor bugger sitting there with a hammer in one hand and the front fender off a ’71 Buick in the other, trying to beat it into flashlights to fill these orders……and everybody bitching at him because he wanted to stop to eat.

Well again I’m not ranting on my part. Nor am I on any medication. But to place an order with any company regardless of who it was at Christmas time, and that same company you placed it with tells you your order has been shipped on Dec 31, and you later find out that it isn’t going out until Jan 11; well if you as a customer think this is ok in my opinion you need your head examined.

Cherry told me via email last nite that my order would go out today.

Now again they will not get anymore of my business. If you guys want to tolerate or reward this type customer service which is full of deceit, then order away.

I’ll take my money and business elsewhere.

They are on my do not buy list.

sorry guys… but i’m on ILF side… for those of you who got their package from their Christmas sale. is either you order very small amount or you just get lucky through their “lottery” system.
but for some of us who buy a lot of stuffs and not knowing if it was shipped or not can be frustrating.
of course i know i’m protected by paypal,so i’m not worry about getting refund but who wants to order and not get their stuffs?

yes… the company has no control of the packages after it was being shipped by the shipping company.
BUT… at least they have to know exactly when the orders leaves the warehouse.

electronic shipping info is just a marketing tool to show the customer that the packaged was being shipped.
it’s a way to buy few days of preparing, a lot of ebay seller do that to boost their rating as a fast shipper.
but to keep it as more than 2 weeks IT IS unacceptable. it’s either you have the goods or you don’t.

i worked for shipping company before and we send packages overseas everyday…
it a very routine task …drivers collect the packages… then bring it to the warehouse, then the warehouse guys collect the items and scan it into the computer and then give it to shipping dept. and then those guys packed the the packages and separate them into different compartments according to which country it’s going for.
and those orders that didn’t get process it will be ship the next day.
yes, during holiday it’s very busy…but it will never takes more than 3 days TOP!,

unless wallbuys only have 2 or 3 people working for the company, i don’t see why they need to take more than 2 weeks to ship the packages.
hmm… come to think of it, the only customer service they have is Cherry…does anyone else ever chat or email with other than cherry?
i’m not trying to bash or smear the company… i’m very grateful for their 50% off promotion.

i’m just telling it like it is and let other people in BLF learn from my experience with wallbuys.
and give them heads up about the drama.
and if they still wants to take the chance… then it’s up to them as they already know what’s to expect. :slight_smile:

If you guys want to still order from Wallbuys, by all means eat your heart out.

It was a good sell. But the service after the sell keeps me from wanting to reward them or their company. I won’t.

For me it was less of the customer service or supporting them, and more of the ’taking advantage of a good price”. It can get here when it gets here as long as it arrives. If someone I didn’t like wanted to sell me something a a great price/at a loss, I’d buy it simply to take advantage of the deal. Not because I wanted to support him/her. Lol.

With that said, yes, it is frustrating and when you are accustomed to good service, it is hard dealing with crap like this.

It is the fact that they lied about shipping. Thats what annoys me.

No excuse at all for lying about the shipping. Waiting is expected but don't tell anyone it shipped then not ship it until 16 days later. Add in the fact that he paid $30 extra for DHL which should take only 5 days to get to him is utterly inexcusable.

If I pay extra for fast DHL shipping I don't want to see someone else (who bought the same time I did and was shipped regular HKP) get their order days before my DHL order even left them. I'd be flipping mad if I was ILF and anyone who tells him to just relax must already be stoned on qualudes.

Do they still make those?

We have western buyers and Chinese sellers and manufacturers. Not only is there a language barrier, but there is a cultural barrier and a total lack of understanding between the two. Having worked in the east (and the middle east), and standing at arms length from this, I find the whole situation hilarious….the westerners have no idea how puzzling (and indeed offensive) their demands and expectations are to the easterners.

You might as well get angry and shout at your cat to go and fetch your newspaper right this minute! - no matter how much commotion you make it isn’t going to happen, and you’re the only one whose blood pressure is going to go up….and with each shout, the cats willingness to meet your expectations diminishes.

I’m getting nothing but chuckles out of this whole hullaballoo… :bigsmile:

Well actually I didn’t pay for extra fast shipping. But my point was about the Dec 31st shipping date that they told me. And then Cherry telling me to more or less relax and that order will ship today. I wonder how many more people they did this way.

I think, in the last month, we have seen the best and worse of Chinese mail order start ups, we have fasttech, who bend over backwards for us, basically allowed us to demand what they stock and got us back by shipping fast for a cheap price. They are honest, communicative, prepared to listen and resolve issues. Everything you could want.

What put me off wallbuys was the amount of posts that suddenly appeared pimping for business. I didn’t take advantage and looking at brads list, I wish I’d ordered an i4 at that price.

Wallbuys does though seem to be epitomizing all that is bad in on-line shopping - poor dispatch times, lying to customers, poor communication.

Brad and daylighter, I see your points. All I can suggest is, at least you already have some awesome toys to play with… :bigsmile: :beer:

I am though very glad I just stuck with fasttech, intloutdoor and Cngq for my Christmas splurge.

Does “processed through” mean that the package has left the Hong Kong facility for America?

I didn’t read this whole thread, just a few posts.

Yeah it sucks but thats what buying from Chinese vendors is like, I am sure everyone has dealt with the exact same situation dozens of times on here.

Some are good, some are bad and you took a gamble on a relatively unknown seller.

If there isn’t one already you should have posted something like this in the budget dealer experience section so they can get a rating.

I made my purchase there on the 5th and it got sent on the 7th.

Sorry you got the bad end of the deal on your order.

I really couldn’t care less about shipping times, but if they lie that’s the deal breaker for me.

apparently there is only three of us that were lied to. a thank you to those who did make me laugh though. i also work for a very large shipping company and as bad as we are, we are still the best there is,IMO. geuss i’m spoiled.

Do you know what it means when Hong Kong says that it has “Processed Through Sort Facility” does that mean that it is on it’s way to the destination country?

i don’t even bother checking hong kong tracking anymore (from any seller)

seems like the site is down, or the site is up and it tells me nothing
