Shadow SC600 vs UF-T50 -- Winners Announced -- The Lights Are Done!!!!!!!

What a great shot. http://youtu.be/4T-9T2OL5dQ?t=3m2s

That’s telling! One gets what one pays for?

Easy enough to put a new lens in that SC600, and its good as new

Awesome and entertaining work!

Nice work guys. Funniest competition I've heard off for along time. OL, no piking out now. The whole of BLF is going to be watching you wave your magic over these two lights so that they may be something they were never meant to be. Good luck.

I think the dimming of the SC600 after a while is the built-in timer in it. Using a stopwatch, I have tried it several times in my SC600. If started on TURBO mode, the light will step-down to HIGH after exactly 5min, 3 secs., or if a ‘tired’ cell is used, then it will step-down anytime below 5min.

A bit of glass is missing on the SC600, right?! It needs emergency care before mkett39’s bucket of oil! :open_mouth: The T50 is dead, its lost already.
Let us treat our wounded! Please!

Yes in that second picture there is a piece of missing glass, when it cracked that part was no where to be found.

+100 We’re counting on you! But no pressure :stuck_out_tongue:

The package is now on its way to mkett! :D

For your entertainment during this intermission, the last gasp in the life of the UF-T50, skillfully brought to you by scaru:

Just got the package and do I have some news for you! I decided just for the heck of it to drop a fresh battery in the UF and she functions perfectly. So it seems we will have two working lights to conduct the test on. Hope to do test fri or Sat and will post pics and results.

Yes! The T50 comes back with a game tying touchdown with 2 minutes left in the game!!

Have the same batteries been through the testing with these two lights the entire time? If so, no one tried a different battery until just now?? :O

I’m willing to bet it had a bad connection with the head off the body tube. The pill in the T50 is basically soldered to the body and you can break this solder connection and have issues, I have with mine, but if it’s together snugly mine works fine.

Que “eye of the tiger”…….

This stuff just got real!

What an awesome concept, it’s good to know what kind of extremes our torches can stand.

My guess is that some water left in the light caused a short somewhere. When dried up it worked again, just like the pre-smartphone Nokia's that were submerged: open it up, let dry for a week, put in a fresh battery and presto!

Wow! I am shocked! I tried both the power supply and 3 different 18650s. I just realized I did leave some batteries in those lights, so enjoy the new batteries mket. ;)

No, it killed one of my batteries. Sent to scaru without because 1) it’s about the lights not the batteries and 2) didn’t want any problems with the geniuses at the post office
