FastTech ships blazingly fast..............................

Got my 18650’s very fast, ordered on Jan 1 recieved on jan 9 and even got an email today informing the items were delivered and if everything was ok and if I was satisfied with my order.

Thanks FastTech for your awesome service! Will order from you whenever possible from now on, you are a model of good service, hope you live long and prosper!

DarkSide,

I agree with your more-even-tempered attitude here.

The details I seem to crave (it’s tough being Dim) are sparse now, but I can see them being added, and FT always seem ready to reply with assurances that anything I’ve mentioned would be moved up their to-do list. They’re paying Close Attention, even if that’s all they do. (Obviously that’s not all they do!! :cowboy_hat_face: )

Re: turnaround time: I am at Day Seven (7) on my first, “test” order ($53+), and the tracking (thank you!) shows it still in Hong Kong… FWIW, as I understand it, the order is in the rough hands of the Postal Service now, but it did take 5 days for them to Accept it. The time isn’t miraculous, but it isn’t bad either. Funny thing is (get this, FastTech), their Attention and close support make it a LOT easier for me to kick back and wait it out. I get the distinct impression I’m an E-mail away from an incredibly detailed shipment report, but I won’t bother them. Joy and Happiness prevails! Yes, you heard it here first: I’ll wait.

Like you, I am rooting for FastTech too, as it is Quite Plain to see their overt commitment to Customer Service. Pardon my French, but it’s about damned time!! If they can keep this up, and tap into that horde of treasure at Alibaba.com

After struggling to be heard at … no, I have nothing to say about the old places. It’s nice to feel so loved now.

Hoping for Following Seas for that Slow Boat…

How long might something that has “processed through” Hong Kong, take to reach Southern California?

Both of my China orders arrived in about 3weeks. Their processing is definitely faster than DX. Shipping seems slightly faster. Their customer service is very good. I ordered one Rook per order and both Rooks had bad parasitic drain. Their customer service refunded the purchase price as well as the associated return shipping costs.

When I ordered from their US Warehouse, my order arrived within 1.5weeks and everything was perfect. Overall, I’m very pleased with Fasttech and will continue using them for my flashlight purchases especially through their US Warehouse.

cjoe

Is there something that tells you that before you place an order?

AFAIK, they aren't shipping anything out of the US warehouse. It all comes from China, but it comes through the USPS so gets here really quickly.

Just keeping the information flowing. (And waiting…) :email:

My order hit San Francisco yesterday.
Order Placed: Thursday, January 03, 2013
Shipped Monday, January 07, 2013 7:14:50 AM
Acceptance January 08, 2013, 2:53 pm
San Francisco: January 12, 2013, 6:46 am

Nine days to feet-dry? Not too bad in my book…

Now it’s up to the Pony Express… :stuck_out_tongue:

Dim
(PS: It occurred to me that this order has to come from a few different places. I understand enough about Logistics to know this isn’t easy. Maybe some people who have long lead times are experiencing this… I’ve read somewhere that someone tried just putting one item per order and got really good results. Just putting that out there…)

Ordered 03.01.13, shipped out 04.01.13, tracking number showed that it spent days at HK post office before being finally shipped out to destination country on 13.01.13, so its 9 days total.

Seeing that others throughout the world, not only USA, but also Europe, have received their orders within a week or week and a half, Im quite disappointed right now, I paid little premium for registered mail to get my items faster, but if it takes 9 days for order to leave the country, then whats the point in paying for registered shipping if its no faster than regular shipping service?

Ive had items from Buyincoins delivered to my place in two weeks on a constant basis, its not just once, all of my BIC orders have arrived in two weeks, maybe day or two more, but its surprisingly fast when compared to usual 4+weeks of shipping time fro other Chinese vendors.

I hope my order from FT will arrive in coming days.

As always with too much of hype I fear vendors might lower CS quality and shipping times might increase due to the fact that they will have enough reputation and customers and wont care about what people talk about them here.

My order arrived from Hongkong in 11 FAST days. It sat in HKpost for 5 days (waiting for the camel to arrive perhaps?! Blame HKpost, not FastTech.

Im buying from Fasttech and not from HK post
And if FT says that registered mail will get to me in two weeks, Im expecting it to get here in timely manner.
But, Im still waiting for my item to arrive so I will reserve my final judgement for later+Im going to order more from them later on and the we will see how fast their next orders will be.

Order placed on the 8th, order received today: 7days to my door! Of course I can’t give Fasttech credit for Hong Kong post doing their job but shipping orders within 24 hours or so certainly helps. THANKS!!!

Got me a ZJ-T08 and am very impressed with the quality for all of $24! The reflector is NOT aluminum (its plastic) however it throws on par with my Shadow JM26 while being a fair bit dimmer. Heat-sinking looks awesome so I might just drive it at 4 Amps. I have a couple of XML U3s and AMC7135s (and a couple of drivers to take them so do a bit of de-doming, soldering and get this thing running above 100K lux hopefully by the end of the day!

For me (Poland in Europe) FastTech is very slow. I have 3 parcels (not registered) in transit from them- shipped 12/15/2012, 12/17/2012 and 12/31/2012 and all are not delivered yet. I hope they will be delivered soon, but I am disappointed.
I have received today (01/14/2013) my not registered parcel from LedDna which was send from HK 01/05/2013 (post stamp). I have also received my not registered parcel from BIC in 2 weeks. Both sellers have rather negative comments on BLF but they are faster for me than FT.
I think that FastTech is fast only for registered parcels shipped to US.

I have received first 2 parcels today (01/17/2013) so everything is normal.

Andy

hmmm. I think HK post ships very quickly to New Zealand: allot of our international flights go to HK airport before heading off elsewhere.

I can´t agree with you Kwak. I´m from Slovakia, and I´ve received my 3 parcels in about 10 days. It´s possible that unregistred parcels aren´t so fast. You can just buy something over 15usd and there is free registred shipping.

“Regular Air Mail
(aka snail mail)”

As my neighbor from Slovakia said, it’s fast.

You fail to recognize that FastTech is only responsible for how fast they process and ship out your order.
Then it is on the shipping company you selected to handle the package.

Ordered 30. December or so.
Shipped 31. December, that is it took 1 day at FastTech to process and get the order out of their hands.
It was sent as a gift, value HKD 27 instead of around USD 26, weight 0.225kg, postage price HKD 48.20 ~ USD 6.22, date 03.01.2013.
So yes due to holidays it took them some time to get into shipped, probably because the post office was closed.
Left Hong Kong on 10. January.
Arrived to central EU on 13. January, to the customs.
14. January delivery to me, but the * was too lazy to come here or to bother to ring.
15. January a receipt in my mailbox that I found after receiving another package from FancyFlashlights.
Went to the post office and got my FastTech package.

During normal work days it should be like this:
1 day shipped from your order.
Then it takes 3-4 days to go through the customs in HK.
Up to 3 days to get to your country from HK.
1 day at your local customs.
1 day delivery to your house.

Total around 7-10 days. Usually the range is 7-14 days with things arriving the 10th day on average.

This is a standard registered airmail, small bubble wrapped package, two hands size, around 0.25kg.

With my second order I was below $15 to get free registered shipping. Didn’t want to pay the $0.51 to get it so I bought some other things that I have a use for and got over $15.

Normal unregistered shipping is probably not an airmail but ground mail, doesn’t have to be but with some eBay shipments I have this feeling that they are as they take a month to arrive, one arrived after 3 months, already refunded that one of course.

Unregistered airmail should be the same as registered one, maybe ever so slightly slower.

Check your tracking. Ah wait, you don’t have one, unregistered, well good luck then as you will have no idea where your package is and all the problems will have to be resolved with the seller and in a borderline case PayPal, but as far as I know, PayPal will not accept it unless it’s a registered/tracked package.

My other package from china arrived way too fast, yesterday or day before yesterday and was ordered 3. January, shipped 4. January and arrived 13.–14. January, 10 days, unregistered from China, my bike flashlight holder.

So it only depends on how lucky you are with the shipping company and maybe your local customs and local post/shipping company.

Satisfied with FastTech registered shipping, same as any other registered shipping from other companies.
My second order from FastTech:

Shipped January 7th.
Left HK on 15. January.
Should arrive here on Saturday or Monday. I guess Monday-Tuesday is more probable.

Anybody got a horse you’re not using for the next few days?

Apparently, California has gone Dark.

This order, PLUS a Toyota gasket set from a seller in California are BOTH stuck in the so-called “Golden State” (this one is in San Francisco, not some backwater hamlet like “Bell Gardens” where the other one is stuck!), for DAYS.

It’s easy to blame China, Hong Kong, etc., but it appears from this bit of evidence that at least ONE problem lies elsewhere. Like in our own back yard!

I know the State of California is bankrupt, but this is unreal.

Back to waiting…

Two separate orders from FastTech shipped the same day:

  • Acceptance on Jan 09, @ HK
  • Processed through sort facility, Jan 11, @ HK
  • Processed through USPS Sort Facility, Jan. 14 @ San Francisco
  • Depart USPS Sort Facility, Jan. 14 @ San Francisco

Now just waiting for delivery in NE Texas...

It’s not a common limit for all of EU. In the tax-record country of Denmark the limit is 14$. If you cross that limit it’s immediately +$27 +25% tax

in Sweden it is 1300 SEK, ~$185

i was worried when i read that my wallbuys order was held at customs, but then i checked the limits, so i guess they’ll release the package now when i’ve emailed them some documents saying it only cost $97
