Review: Black Shadow Terminator 4*U3/4*18650

Thank you for the kind words.

Right now you cannot order the U3 specifically. Originally their plan was to release it this month but supply issues, if Dengoh is correct, will delay things. From what I understand, the U3 will have stainless bolts holding the handle to the body while U2 and Neutral versions have black steel bolts.

BS Terminator without long handle. link
Why!? It is so ugly with the amputated handle.

Dengoh, can you double check that link? I keep getting a page not found error. I cant imagine any way that could look good with the handle cut down. Is it just a stump cut off after the switch?

Nevermind. Triedit again and this time the link worked. Cant view images without an account. Can you just post the pics?I

He posted many pictures how he did it step by step.
Let me share the look of Terminator. The solution is using hot glue.

Eww! WTF?! Hot glue???

Ghetto-fabulous!

U3 version is for sale on CPF Market Place B/S/T.

Saw that too! How the heck did that seller get hold of two U3 versions to sell??? I thought they weren’t available yet to the market?

BWAH HA HA HA +1

Dang. I just picked up a TK75, but I really want one of those U3 versions. Hmmm. Shipping is probably too much to Canada anyways.

Great review like always Johnny,
It must be a great light as a bike light

Thanks! Not sure how one would mount it to a bike but if you could figure that out then you probably would have a pretty good high beam.

I wish more folks who don't hesitate to spend $150 on a light would take a chance on this one. It really is amazing and quite versatile. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny if you can swing it, especially when compared with other lights at the same price point or even double.

I believe now you have seen my APEX bike light post (from your comment) and it’s the same idea (if you make the right plate) for every flashlight in the market and for this Terminator

I always believed that if you want to spend money for a good bike light , above 2000 lumen and cost you between 200 and 500$ it’s better to buy a good flashlight like APEX ,TERMINATOR , DARTH and others and then with 25$ total cost to make a fantastic bike light.
Even RIC wrote to me that he likes my idea and he is thinking of make one, he didn’t say for him or for selling.

I also upload a video to my post.

Does a Skyray king body screw onto the head of the Apex? If I remember to when I get home, I will see if the SRK body screws into the Terminator head. If so, you just need the Terminator and you are set for another killer bike light. Personally I think the floodiness of the Apex would make the best bike light.

Also, if the do all fit, then you just need to make one bike adapter that will work on all three lights and their derivitives (Fandyfire, Skyray, Solarstorm, Mimic, Rustu, Black Shadow, etc...).

Yes, this is a great light. But, Black Shadow undermined its release by announcing a U3 version just a week thereafter.

Now the retailers are left holding a bunch of U2s when the demand is for the U3 which isn’t readily available yet.

Bad marketing can destroy a product - even a good one.

And people like myself who ordered early and got a U2 version feel a little misled.

Oh, well.

I don’t normally dis any mods, because I’ve done some fugly ones

but that is the DUMBEST mod I’ve ever seen.

edit” to be clear - i mean hot gluing a terminator….

You have to make different plate for every flashlight , you must be very lucky to fit the same plate to different flashlights.
I meant that you can use the same idea to every flashlight in the market and make it a bike light - sorry if my bad english confuse you

I read somewhere don’t expect magic among U2, U3 and XML2 U2. The higher the expectation, the higher the disappointment.
So I pulled trigger on my second Terminator. This one will be screwed into my current Terminator to make a 5000 lumens flashlight so that I don’t need to buy X6. She will be 8-LED running with 8*18650, sounds more efficient than Olight. My original plan is to get 5 Terminator to make a 20-LED to match 4sevens flashlight. Let’s see how things go with my 8-LED first.

Some people have “sickness”, I remember one guy amputated himself because he hated his legs for 40 years. He feels happy at the end.
I guess that owner hated Terminator handle so much.

How are you going to do that mechanically?
