I didn’t see this on here anywhere so here’s some links to this new Panasonic light that apparently accepts all kinds of batteries.
That's one way to use up leftover batteries. 
I cant find the other thread but this was posted a few days ago.
Seems a bit gimmicky to me but it might come in handy in the zombie apocalypse if you have to scavenge for batteries.
the point is to have all cells in parallel, 1.5V. this way it doesnt matter how much capacity is left in each parallel cell.
i store my Eneloops this way, connected in parallel.
