That's a Golston body but at a crazy price.

Yeah there are rather a lot of nice Nextorch's on DX recently, I assume they are dumping the old stock.

There are quite a few that would be realy nice with an upgraded emiter, but it's a rather pricey way to get a host.

"Golston" obscure Scottish slang?

Nope. It was the brand name for a lot of "7W" lights back in the day. I'd check on CPF but it looks like the last couple of user IDs I used there are banned. Or I've forgotten the passwords which is also possible. If you aren't banned there and have a valid login (which I appear not to have nowadays), search for Golston and you should find hundreds of threads. They were the doggie's bits circa 2005.

$66.20 at DX http://www.dealextreme.com/p/nextorch-mytorch-18650-cree-xpe-r5-200-lumen-white-led-programmable-smart-flashlight-1x18650-57804 Hardly budget.....but interesting

and nearly twice that at Manafont http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/nextorch-mytorch-intelligent-customized-modes-200lumen-200meter-light-distance-memory-led-flashlight-18650-p-5793

Ahh, come to think of it I remember seeing those on eBay.

I'm not part of the banned at CPF club, I feel a bit left out...:P

Yeah I saw all those Nextorches too. Pretty awful price for a 30 - 60 lumen Luxeon torch.

The Nextorch lights up on DX are brand new models, just introduced at the SHOT Show in Vegas in February of this year. They're programmable via USB from your computer, which is one of the reasons they're so expensive.

Most of them are not new, they are several years old.

They have always been expensive
