Review: UltraFire WF-606A (photo heavy now)

Nice looking light. How do you short the current sense resistors?

I shorted the resistor by removing it and connecting the two pads with a solder blob.
I think it’s called a solder bridge:

Thanks for the review. Did you take any pictures of the pill while you had it apart? It looks like it may make a good host.

Nice light and nice review. I wonder why it is not cheaper…. (xxxxFire) I think it will not have the regulation Fenix has

Thanks for the kind words, just took some pictures of the pill and added it to the first OP.

I would like to add that there is some regulation since the light was about 60% as bright with one AA and a spacer.
Since LED’s have a relatively narrow Vf, if there wasn’t regulation, the LED wouldn’t have turned on.

Nice review, been looking at this light myself, but given its age+that its single mode I dont think I will be buying it

Thanks, it does seem to require an update.

One thing I also discovered was that the pill won’t accept 17mm drivers; the stock driver is 14-16mm and isn’t compatible. :frowning:

It is a good looking and versatile light even with a single mode. Can you take a pic in shorty config?

One shorty shot coming up….

Added to the OP review!

How did they manage to build a single mode light with protruding clicky and NOT make it a forward clicky. Seems like a light like this screams for a forward clicky.

Reminds me of my old Romisen RC-N3. Similar size, but the Romisen costs more and adds additional modes and a forward clicky.

Thanks for the review!

Exactly my thoughts.

That being said, does anyone know where to find forward affordable clicky switches?

Thanks for the kind words.

I don’t know if it will fit but Shiningbeam has the Rominsen RC-G2 switches for like $1.50.

I replaced mine on my G2 and have my old one. I can measure it for you.

Shiningbeam doesn’t have the rc-n3 anymore but they have switches. Since this light is so similar it might work.

Sure, that would be great!

Just the inner tailcap diameter would do, thanks!

Thanks for the tips guys.

Whats the diameter of this switch?

Both of my non-working Saik SA-125 2AA lights have a switch that looks exactly like this one, they are 16mm in diameter.
Both dont work, both reverse clickies.

Thanks, my switch is 16mm as well.

This was my 1st ever LED flashlight, and I still love it.

A great intro light in my opinion. Beats the hell out of a 2aa incan maglite, and for the same or less money (UK).

Thanks. That looks pretty nice.

Nice light! Nice review! Thanks!

What is the lowest price this light can be found? I have seen a FandyFire at dx for about 17$
