And the left one is the UF-210?!
Never xD
I thought the UF-2100 is bright… but here I can barely see it. Is the A8 really THAT much brighter?

You mean the UF-2100? Then yes, or actually mine is one with an upgraded driver. The hotspot really is that much more intense.
If you´re bored and want to do me a favour, could you take two separat pics showing UF on high and A8 on high?
In case the difference is really still that big, I think I… “need” some new lights
Saying I'm bored is an understatement. ;) I'll go pull out a tripod and manual camera so I should be back with pics in 15 minutes or so.
Did you go with a cool white a8 then? I’m loving my 3c one.
Yep, mine is CW. Here the individual pics. As before they are both on their max setting.
A8
UF-2100
And a mouse over. Mouse over for A8, mouse out for UF-2100.
If you need any other pictures tell me.
Aaaaah, that`s what I thought. The bright hotspot from the A8 confused the camera and killed the UF´s light.
Thank you very much, scaru!
Isn’t your 2100 an e1320 edition? Damm! Makes me even more happy with my blf a8.
Yep, so mine is actually more powerful than the average one. The A8 is actually a pretty awesome light.
Is that UF-2100 driven at 2.8A or 3.5A?

Smo vs op reflector then I guess, plus >20mm vs 30mm
When I measured it through the tailcap I got 3.1 amps.
I started to get in on this deal but didn’t. Boy do I regret that decision!
Rey announced in the sales thread that he still has some left. Jump in before its too late!

He has at least one less than when he made that announcement. ;)
Well he had 30+ left a few days ago. I'm sure that's come down since.

whokilledJR:I quite like my A8, although the one problem is it isn’t floody if you’re referring to spill, in fact the spill is very narrow. The hotspot is similar to to a P60 so this part of the beam profile could be considered floody. The problem is the Bezel as it cuts out a lot of the spill due to it’s recessed design. To get mine off I had to carefully apply some anti adhesive gunk as mine was glued. Once removed the spill size is average.
WKJR, I think we’ve discussed this before: I had issues with my first A8 spontaneously changing modes while bike riding. With a lot of finagling in the tailcap area, I got it to quit but then I sold the A8 ‘package’ to another cyclist that was just beginning night riding. I’m curious if you’ve used the BLF version yet on your bike and if you’ve had any issues with mode switch?
My light is in the Chicago area, I’ll be getting it delivered to work on Monday.
Gidday Betweenrides, yes I was counting the Z’s . I haven’t ordered the BLF version, just the original but I too had some tailcap issues, took some messing around to get it too work, not sure what I did. I would assume the BLF version would have the same tailcap? I probably won’t get the BLF version anytime soon, been a bit of a hermit lately and haven’t ordered any new flashlights for 3 months now. Although that’s all going to change in a couple of weeks…… J)
I have to add that I got mine yesterday and I totally love it! Build quality is phenomenal and output is great.

I ordered one the day of the great CPF review and it was shipped by the next day. I’d be surprised if he didn’t have at least a few left.
