16340

I have a charger that charges 18650, 10440, 14500, 17670 and 18500. I want to buy a laser that uses 16340, will this charger do it? I don’t see why not but Im no electrical exploding battery expert.

There was an issue with some Ultrafire chargers with 16340's. Not a charging problem, but simply that the contacts travel didn't reach. Users were using spacers (paper clips) to overcome the problem.

Long as I’m at it, this unit, http://www.gadgettown.com/100mW-532nm-UltraFire-WF502B-Flashlightshaped-Green-Laser-Pointer-HKE03235.html uses a 502 host. Doesn’t that host fit an 18650 or two cr123 sized batteries.

According to the DX listing the laser version takes 1 cr123a/16340 http://www.dealextreme.com/p/20mw-ultrafire-wf-502b-flashlight-style-green-laser-cr123a-5785

I guess the laser innards take up the space normally used by 2nd battery in the 502B flashlight.

Thanks. I just found a picture of the laser module and it is a lot longer than a p60. I’m going to give this a shot. The guys at the laser pointer forum said that gadgettown ships from a warehouse in NY. This item says ships from hong kong though.

If the battery is too short for your charger then you can get a spacer like this -

Those spacers are nice. You can find just about anything nowadays. Thanks

you should get another charger to charge 16340 batteries.
