FastTech ships blazingly fast..............................

20.80€ (~$27) (incl. shipping fees) here in Finland and after that it's +24% (or 10% for books or 14% for food) tax. If more than 150€ (~$197) then comes import fees too.

:open_mouth: :( :( :_(

22€ plus some € goodwill and after that the normal tax of 19% here. No Import fees for orders below 150€. Quite enough for free shipping china goods.

The only thing I don’t like is that the value which counts is the whole order plus shipping.
So if I buy something for 10$ with 25$ shipping than I have to pay tax on 35$.

But I am sorry for you guys who have to pay a constant charge per tax handling, 8$ 27$ that’s hard.

Today I got a bunch of sorted smd resistors from eBay.

Strangely enough I could buy for 10$ with 25$ shipping without paying tax!

Our limit at 14$ (80DKR) is the price WITHOUT shipping.

That has been a discussion topic here for years, you could get two different answers when asking the tax authorities, but it is clarified now.

But when the limit is crossed, you have to pay tax of the shipping also.

It’s blatant protectionism, in my opinion. Just a way of getting around free trade agreements. As if you could even buy the stuff that you want in your local retail stores!

One of the major retail chain owners (Gerry Harvey) here in Au keeps complaining about our high import limit before GST, (it’s $1000, then after that, you get charged 10%) claiming it’s sending him broke. Well, he’s got a racing stable with numerous horses, several mansions, and sells overpriced junk!

I wouldn’t mind paying GST on my online purchases one little bit. Example, last week I got a Fluke 179 online, cost me $290 delivered. Locally, it costs $495. What are you going to do? I would happily pay the GST, and still buy online. That meter would have cost me $309 if I’d had to pay the tax. Retailers need to get with the program, and realise that consumers are now much more informed than they used to be.

And don’t get me started on books - we’ve been gouged on these like everything else for years - they’re half the price from bookdepository.co.uk - and that’s including shipping from the other side of the world. Something’s not right somewhere…

Signed, grumpy didge |(

Item arrived to my country 15th January, spent 5(!!!) days at customs, was freed from customs yesterday and received at post office today, 21st January.
So, subtract those 9(!!!) days that my item spent in HK post it would be pretty fast shipping, lets say 2 days at HK post office means I could have received my item week ago or maybe sooner given that there were two holidays(saturday and sunday) during 5 day period that my item spent at customs…
I paid for registered, not happy this time, 17 days in transit, wasnt worth paying premium IMO.

My Paypal account says I payed for my order at: thu. 17. jan. 2013 12:46:45 GMT-08:00
Still waiting for order to ship…

Wallbuys was faster than that on their last sale…

Well,I ordered few items on 18.02. and they aren’t shipped yet.Anyone else has similar problem? Also, customer service doesn’t work at all(error message:“The page isn’t redirecting properly”).

I´ve also ordered during the end of the holidays and I searched this thread because I wanted to ask the same as led4power.

No shipping email yet : (

I ordered some things on 15th and 17th both got shipped immediately(one or two days), but i have just ordered things which were in stock.
On some items there is a note that the supplier has holidays until 22th.
By the way i have an DX order pending since some days…

My DX orders took 4 weeks to get shipped and another ~6 to arrive…

Have you tried a different browser? Opera (12.14) doesn’t work for certain things with me. The dreaded IE works fine.

And I do seem to remember a few days lag between order and a ship notification the last I got stuff. However, it arrived pretty quickly after that.

It was their CNY celebration time, try browsers like Mozilla or IE, perhaps youre using Chrome?
I had few pages not working because of Chrome.
Anyway, good luck receiving in time ;)!

I’m using Mozilla.

Orders I have placed from Fasttech and days they used to arrive:
27
22
23
14
17
12
16 - days for my last order, which arrived today.

So far I don’t have the impression that packages with tracking gets to me faster…
The three fastest packages have been smaller orders without tracking.
The slowest package arrived late since Fasttech used a couple of days, and HK was extremely slow…
Usually they are fast to ship, 1-3 days working days.

I have recognized this too, some untracked packages came so fast i couldnt believe it was here, sometimes 10 days faster than another order. I would really like to know the routes of HK post…

I made seven purchases Fasttech. All have come in less than 20 days to Spain, some came in just 12 days. I was not used to this quickly.

My last order to the UK took 10 days from ordering.
2 days ago I ordered a battery charger, it was posted the day after order was placed.
I must say despite a problem, Jasmine from f/t has been awsome in both keeping me informed and sorting things out, very fairly, the kind of service I value above prices.
tabs

My last order arrived yesterday. It took 22 days.

Yep, my order placed on the 19th still hasn’t shipped. Yesterday I opened a ticket to ask a couple questions about it. Still no response there.

PS - one of those questions was whether they could include Fujik on the BLF discounts. I don’t care if I get the discount on this order (already payed anyhow) but I think future orders should benefit from it. Don’t you agree?

UPDATE:
Received a response to my ticket today. My order is indeed waiting for another item and will be shipped promptly. Also, they suggested use of the coupon code TENOFF for the Fujik. Not sure what, if anything, else that might work for.
