In a local store, it was in a small standalone cardboard aisle display near the flashlight section, but it could be placed anywhere in the store. I had to ask around and a HD worker actually located it for me.
I park in the HD lot next to work, I’ll have to check to see if they have them in stock in the morning. Thanks Garry!
Is this a glass lens or polycarbonate?
Can someone post beamshots? And pics of the internals?
This one just came out, it is NOT the one from BF and Christmas time
I don’t think I’m going to get to it very soon. Been a busy night and I’m out of the office in the field tomorrow (I must have been crazy to CHOOSE to go in the field since it’ll be 1 degree F with windchill -15F!)

You know I almost posted “this means you Rick” in my O.P.

I need to return some DVD rentals I’m going to check my local HD, I have had luck using harbor freight 20% off coupons at that one before. Post back in 2 hours!
Lens is plastic, as is the reflector, which measures 55mm wide (i.d.) by 55mm deep. Just a quick shine outside and I can tell you it might not be quite as bright, but it throws as far as the HD2010! And some pics:
Sandwiched between a 2-D Mag and SF M8 - it's a big sucker

Great photos. Thanks BetweenRides
Hi, Richie! Thanks. Sorry, guys - all I have is my iPhone, which does ok for inside shots but in my experience really sucks for beamshots, especially outdoors. I'm going to leave that to someone with a decent camera.
This is definitely a cheepie light, but it's a good spend for a retail light at $23. Good to see the XM-L finally make it into some mainstream box store lights. Thanks for the heads up, Garry!
@weiser: Couldn't agree more on Maglite. I would really love to see what they can do!
@gords: This thing feels like it's made out of lead pipe. Definitely weapons grade and it would cost a fortune to ship across the pond.
Wow, that’s a howitzer of a light!
I wish it was 3xD!
i suppose a driver swap + a small spacer could make it 2x26650?
I’m outside my local HD, No luck! :_(
Thanks BR for the photos! Any idea if the pill is hollow? I'll try to check back with the driver diameter soon.

Anyone ever used aa batteries in a light like this? Can you get the same output?
I agree! Why the heck did they go with 3 C's? It's already a monster off a light! With 3D's they could have advertised more runtime too! The Black Friday one made sense to be 3C, but not this one.
-Garry
I doubt alkaline AA's would push as much current, but NiMh's would be fine.
-Garry
Because there are lots of cheap 26650 battery tubes now.

Sorry I really meant aa eneloops.
Would they work?
