Favorite movies of all time ?

That’s really fantastic Glenn. You must have been as happy as I was being able to eventually get them all on DVD. I think they were all some of the best movies ever made. As entertaining now as when I first saw them as a kid.

The ones I don't have such as The Attack Of the 50 foot Woman and The Amazing Colossal Man, I'm downloading right now. I haven't seen those in ages.

Ever see Caltiki, The Immortal Monster (1959)? It's kind of like The Blob, but instead of consuming the whole body, it leaves the skeleton behind. It scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. lol!

Edit: Just added The Attack Of the 50 foot Woman and The Amazing Colossal Man to my iTunes movie collection. Tonight I watch them :)

I’m a fan of Tarantino and Rodriguez:

- Pulp Fiction

- Kill Bill 1+2

  • Django Unchained

Other great movies:

- Intouchables - I think some members from Germany whould know the title: Ziemlich beste Freunde. This movie is really great.

- Matrix

- Terminator 2 and 4

- American History X

- Scarface

- The Godfather

- Back to the future triology

- Lord of the rings triology

- Forrest Gump

- Fight Club

  • Ong Bak

These movies are all awesome, but I’m saddened at the lack of martial arts flicks in here.
In no particular order:
Enter the Dragon, Drunken Master, Ip Man, Hero, Fists of Fury, House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Two movies worth mentioning

No Country For Old Men and What's Eating Gilbert Grape

So many good ones in here, but no one has mentioned national lampoons christmas vacation

Green mile, run down, boys in the hood, anything cheech and chong and jay and silent bob (if your in that right mood)

Want some fd up movies? American history x, go!, kids, fear and loathing in las vegas…

I always loved the part in the 50 foot woman when you see the giant grab the sheriff’s car and toss it.

Somehow I’ve never heard of Caltiki. I’m watching it on YouTube right now and I’ll let you know what I think. Thanks.

Johnny mac, first page

I loved Cheech and Chong a lot more when I used to smoke pot. They were funny as hell. Dave's not here!!

Green Mile was an amazing movie. I have that on DVD

yeah me too. gave that up in early early mid 20s… ive seen most of them, that corsican adventure or what ever i was not too fond of… but nice dreams… i looked for that gun the cop had or one like it for the longest time haha

Speaking of The Green Mile, Michael Clark Dunken (the big guy) passed away recently. Very sad :(

Yeah, I hear ya.
I was going to list some movies from the Shaw Bros. I like, as well as a couple of ninja movies.
But I thought that not many member’s out there heard of them. Anyway, here’s some.

The 36th Chamber Of Shaolin, Heroes Of The East, The 5 Venoms, Challenge Of The Masters, Invincible Shaolin,
The Boxer From Shantung, Crippled Avengers, The 5 Shaolin Masters, Shinobi, Ninja In The Dragon’s Den.

When I was a kid, I spent many a weekend riding my bike down to Chinatown watching these.
They don’t make um like this anymore, although I absolutely loved Ip Man 1 thru 3
Did you know that Donnie Yen has agreed to make another Ip Man ?
The story is supposed to focus more on his elder years when he’s training Bruce Lee.

Conan the barbarian (first one)
James bond (all of them)
Star wars
Shogun assassin
Kingdom of heaven

And too many documentaries (if they count) to name.

Bad Boys 2
The Abyss

This is one of my favorite movie scenes, especially the part after 1:40. No wonder Gleason was called “The Great One.”

Aren’t you guys forgetting something? Like the best movie in the universe?

This is Spinal Tap

Oh, and Dust To Glory is pretty cool, too.

Blues Bros
Koyaanisqatsi
Baraka
Paris Je T’aime
Iron Man
True Grit (Jeff Bridges version)
Kingdom of Heaven
Sherlock Holmes
Indiana Jones series
Bourne series
Ice Station Zebra
Guns of Navarone
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

Young Frankenstein !!(pronounced Frahn_ken_shteen)
Blues Brothers (the original)

With or without dropping acid first? J)
