Hey, guys, I just received my first torch, from the Jan. 10 madness sale, this:
55891$18.28SMALL SUN ZY-T13 CREE XM-L T6 LED 1200LM 5 Modes high power Flashlight(2X18650) Black
So very cool light. On and off on the Tail, and a mode switch just below the head. Always starts on high, which is nice for me, and that mode switch is very cool. Way, bright, this one is most definitely a thrower. They had one left for 18.28 and I snagged it. I have bought crappy lights on Ebay, but this is a keeper. I have read that a lot of members love this light, now I know why. Some lights can’t take the Panasonic 3100s, but I could put them in this. Well, pleased, now just waiting for the other torches, of which one is this:
66431$77.07UltraFire T90 CREE 2300LM 5 Mode Waterproof LED Flashlight Black (3x 18650 or 3x 26650)
Just going to add this. Read some posts about too short batteries not fitting in this light. This light is designed for protected batteries, that are longer than unprotected batteries. The Panasonics are quite long, and a bit wider, so they work well in this torch.
Excellent quality, very durable, these are one of my favorite lights now especially at the price paid. I actually put up a WTB add in the buy and sell forum to try and get a couple more.
Same here. Battery pack from silver/black bike light was dead on arrival. One pair of cells measured only 1.5V and the other 3.5V. I can’t charge the pack over the main port. The pack does show voltage of 5V, but does not allow any flow to or from it. Even after separately charging both pairs of cells there is no current flow out of the pack. Cells must come from an very old stock and when new they were 1800mAh at most.
The result is unusable bicycle light. |( I think we’ll see more to come from the same source……
Packed well (including grease in zip-loc) and, considering the holidays and the traffic that 50% sale garnered, satisfied with delivery speed… getting ready for February’s “reservation” sale!
My order was not packed so well! :~ Delivery was fast though. 4 lights have either scratches or are gouged. Working with Cherry on it by email, hopefully will be resolved in a reasonable manner.
Experience from ordering from China, not to mention the sheer number of orders they received. I have had plenty of orders from China take over a month from standard purchases. Wallbuys was overwhelmed with orders because of the low prices, especially the first sale.
WARNING-DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHECK VOLTAGE OF BATTERY PACK.
After reading the comments I attempted to check the voltage of my battery packs, I slipped and I shorted out the battery pack, the same pack I have already used for over an hour. Not going to check the other two. All it takes is a split second to short out the pack. The only thing damaged should be the PCM (protection control module) which should be an easy fix. Someone put up a link for PCMs on Fasttech a while back but can’t seem to find them now. Would these battery packs be in series or parallel?
Double checked my lights and they all work except for the one I damaged. Light still works with the other battery packs.
The three I have are with the natural/silver bezel.
Today, I got my January Madness Sale second order, was this:
55671$19.02longiire RF-X6 Cree T6 LED 5-Mode 1800-Lumen high power torch Flashlight(18650)
55791$15.27Small Sun ZY-T66 T6 LED 1200 Lumens high power Flashlight(1X18650)
Both really nice lights. Longiire, really never heard of it, well machined, clean threads, deep reflector. Beautiful gun metal gray. The Small Sun, not a thrower like the Longiire, but does a good job. Beautiful deep bronze finish on the Small Sun, I like it. Happy with Wallbuys, does take awhile, haven’t got my very first order (Christmas), and waiting on my SST- 90, super thrower 2300 lumens, 3 cell 26650 — the one I really want…
Add that I would not have ordered the second one had I known I would not get the first one.
(Ordered the second one with the “savings” from the first one. Not getting the first one but getting the second one is more than a bait and switch in my case. I say that’s a fraud in my case.)
