Test / Review: Efest IMR18650 V1 1500mAh (Red)

Efest IMR18650 V1 1500mAh (Red)

Official specifications:

  • Efest IMR 18650 1500mAh Flat Top 3.7V Rechargeable LiMn Battery
  • Brand: Efest
  • Size: 18.08(L)*65.17(W)mm

This is a high current IMR battery.

The battery handles anything up to 10A without problems, it might also work at higher current, but I have not tested it.

Conclusion

These IMR batteries have good performance at any load, but the capacity is, of course, not that high.
At the current time I can only rate them acceptable, because Efest is a new company, and the batteries is not from one of the big brands.

Thank you for the test, for that price, not much worse than AW.

Are you planning to do 15 and 20A too?

Not on this set, but I got a new set of them to test (I do not know if the cell is exactly the same) and there I might do higher current.

Is there something wrong with this set or is V2 released already?

Neither, but Efest send my a pile of batteries to review and there was a new 1500mAh between.

There are a few more duplicates included, I do not yet know how many (It does take some time to unpack, take photo and register the batteries). They will show up with "2013" added to the name, but might have exactly the same performance as the already tested batteries.

Thanks very much! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.

Any of the 14500’s or 10440’s in the collection they sent you? I’ve got a pair of both on order and am hoping they are going to be worth the wait.

He already tested those…

They all do pretty well.

Thanks!
