Fast Tech Refund

I had store credit in the past and that was instant.

Never had a refund before.

Yep, screen capture below taken from their FAQ page.

They reimbursed me for shipping, I'd think they would do the same for you. In addition, the address where I shipped the return was in Florida (not China) so the shipping was inexpensive.

Among other things, I have bought several dozen electronic components from Fasttech. There have been a few cases of errors (packaging issues, missing items, lower count than ordered, or wrong item shipped.) In those cases, I merely report the issues to them. I don’t raise a stink and I don’t usually ask for refund because the amounts are not big. But every time I report such errors, they refund me automatically without me asking, sometimes via PayPal and sometimes as store credit gift certificates.

Barring weekends, I have received both the PayPal refund/store credit the same night I reported my issues with Fasttech. When I wake up and check my mail in the morning, I’d see a mail from Fasttech about the refund and a Credit Received email from PayPal sent within minutes of each other.

They have only asked me to return my items once (to Florida, I think) and they said they would refund my shipping cost once they received it. It has 2-3 weeks after I returned, but I haven’t received any refund of shipping charges. I’m not going to bother them for a two dollar postage fee. I think it all works out in the big picture.

I have had two instances, in both cases I asked for store credit and got it quickly. If I know I’m going back there again, I go with store credit instead of back into PP.

Yes, they refunded it before I even knew they had confirmed the problem on similar items still in inventory.

Problem was submitted via their trouble ticket, or whatever they call it. Responded quickly to say they would test, then they tested, and then they refunded, then they confirmed finding on the ticket. By the time I was aware they had also revised the item listing to remove the incorrect spec.

Just change the driver

+1

My HD2010 from Tmart had the exact same problem, weak output. I never planned on using the driver anyway, so I just changed it to a Nanjg105c. It’s a thousand times better anyway.

Well its been 7 working days since I started the refund process and the 5th working day since they agreed to refund me my money. Ill be patient till the 8th of Feb.

Send them an email support@fasttech.com include the order number and any service ticket number you may have, and follow up.
Sitting and waiting until CNY starts will definitely mean it delays until later in Feb.

I did that yesterday and wrote on the ticket home page as well.

Latest update on the refund process of FAST TECH
This is the first thing they said:

“If you send via USPS first-class mail, we’ll reimburse you up to $3 in stamps (USPS should only charge you around $2). You may do this at anytime convenient for you. Let us know after you return so we can arrange the reimbursements.

Please be assured that your refund are sent independently from the return. Please let us know if you have any questions.”

When I inquired about my refund several days later this is what they came back with:

“Could you please tell us if you have sent the defective item back? Please let us know the tracking number so that we can check the status of the package.

We will issue a full product refund once the returned package delivers.”

So, now I have sent it back with a tracking number and sent a photo of the receipt. Apparently they changed their tune during the middle of my refund processing, both policy statements are fine with me but don’t tell me two different things. Maybe the first statement is worded poorly and they never meant that they were going to refund me my money first and I could ship it back at my convenience.

I am having trouble with Fasttech refunding a “returned” item. Purchased a $250.00 Nitecore TM26 flashlight. It was defective and I returned (per Fasttech’s instructions and issued RMA) by FedEx. I have given Fasttech notification that item was delivered. I have given them tracking information, as well as, delivery confirmation from FedEx. A representative of Fasttech signed for the package on 8 May. 7 days later Fasttech will not confirm receipt of package! Every time I give them proof that the package was delivered….I get a “cut and paste” response saying they are investigating. Same letter each time. Appears to be a delay tactic. I have opened a case with Paypal and am starting a “fraud Dispute” with my credit card company. I have not been refunded. Very strange and dissapointing . Not looking good! :frowning:

FedEx Delivery confirmation

I received my refund 3 days after they received the package less than $50. They might run a tight budget and don't have the liquid cash to give it right now or expensive refunds might have to be approved by MGMT. Good Luck

Please send a PM to Jasmine about this and I’m sure she’ll handle it promptly and with little to no fuss.

Mike,

Keep us updated.

I felt that posting here helped.

I eventually got the refund but haven’t ordered from them in some time. I am hoping they carry the Nitecore SRT series, but I am just a bit hesitant.

Just did…thanks for the link. I hope it works. Fasttech has great stuff at great prices. I hope they come through….too good to be true?

Mike

I am starting to think that the Miami address is a holding point for US returns and when they get a certain amount they ship them to China….where the real inventory takes place. A theory for the huge delay, perhaps. If that’s the case, the comfort the USA customers feel to return their items to Miami….is misleading.

Another theory is that they are playing a waiting game to see if some customers let enough time expire so as not to be eligible for paypal/credit card protection….

Or….they are disorganized

I’ve had a half dozen orders with FastTech, every one has been prompt and well handled. In my opinion, they are the most organized of all sellers who advertise here.

One recent order included two lights that sold out as my order went in - they notified me at once, shipped the balance of my order, and asked me if I wanted to wait a few days for fresh stock on the sold out items. I elected to wait.

Three days later, they wrote and asked again if I wanted to continue to wait or take a refund. I asked for a refund - four hours later Paypal advised that a refund had been applied. It’s pretty hard to ask for better organization or service than that. They have my complete confidence.

I used to think that……until I had to return a very expensive item….then the “Shuckin’ and jivin” began. Now I think I will only use them for smaller ticket items.

Fasttech sells the Nitecore TM26 for $250.00. Amazon sells the flashlight for $369.00 and includes 4 Eagletac 3400 batteries (worth $70.00)+2 day free shipping for Prime members. So Fasttech and Amazon are $50.00 apart. Is it worth $50.00 to get your Flashlight in 2 days, from a US vendor, with an iron clad, no haggle return policy……Uhhhh Ya!

If I elected to return the Flashlight to Fasttech for a replacement…let’s see:

>Send the flashlight back (FedEx tracking) to their Miami holding center
>Wait 2 weeks for Fasttech to tell you they never received it, even after they signed for it!
>File a claim with PayPal and Visa fraud department (about an hours work getting everything faxed to Visa fraud Dept.)
>Then through a miracle they find the lost package that their employee signed for
>Wait another 2 weeks to get the replacement flashlight and pray it’s ok….
I learned my lesson….sometimes it works out….sometimes not so good.
