Fasttech - interesting new products - Flashlights, chargers, batteries and DIY and knives - please no discussions.

Great price on the SRK U2. Should’ve waited. Got mine from fancyflashlight for $58 :frowning:

This happend every time, that products getting cheaper. If I bought a light, which I need only one time (I buy more Solarforce flashlights of one kind, because the quality and price is great), I never look at new prices. Every time I did in the past, I feel the same like you - why haven’t I wait :frowning:

For the user of Europe who have the EU plug, but charger came with an US cable. I don`t like the US EU adapters really and use them only on products, which have a power supply or a fixed plug.
If they have a cable (like the Intellicharger i4 V2), I use EU cables. I have a few from older eletronic parts (cassette recorder, video recorder - yes I have one a ferw years ago, or my printer). If not, you have to buy them and local stores and often you have to pay about 5-7€.
If you buy 3 on fasttech (length 1,30m), you will pay only $1,91 with a coupon (1,32€) for each, without $2,01.

Here is an other nice product, but please notice: Distributor On CNY Holiday ETA: 2/22/2013 (20 days)
A bikelight with 4x XM-L T6 LEDs, batterypack and headlight band for $51,63, with the “*BLF coupon only ”$49,04*“:http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=675977&b=437122&m=44775&afftrack=&urllink=www.fasttech.com%2Fproducts%2F1%2F10003184%2F1236900-ultrafire-4-x-cree-xm-l-t6-2600lm-4-mode-white-bic:
”Not aff-link”:https://www.fasttech.com/products/123/1236900

I pass this, because I bought a 3x XM-L bikelight from Wallbuys New Year Sale - it has 30% discount and I pay $36 (normal shop price $52). But the 30% discount are over.

0805 low-ohms resistors are definately interersting for anyone reading a flashlight forum. (0.1ohm and up)

Ordered a few for resistor mods. I have had successful mods by changing resistors on buck drivers. I now have a Malkoff like set of 3-18v single mode dropins with low, med and high brightnesses.

@RaceR86
Maybe interesting, but not a flashlight, charger, battery and flashlight-DIY-products. I think we have enought threads for funny things here in the forum.

The Fasttech holidays goes on (until 17. Feb.) - so I post some older products and start with pictures - not to big, only to show the products:

The Darth with the 5% coupon for $57,50

Trustfire TR-J18: 7x XM-L T6, 6000 Lumens with coupon: $53,12

The Convoy flashlights are interesting - they are available with different LEDs and bins (XM-L U2, T6, ,T4), with 2 groups of modes (5 with sos and strobe / 3 modes without strobe and sos) and most have more combination about ampere - some have 8x 7135 = 2,8A other less.
I choose two of them, but you can select other LEDs and Ampere on the productsite.

Grey, 2,8 Ampere, 3/5 group, XM-L U2-1B, with BLF coupon for only $13:

or the bigger Convoy L2, 1 or 2 18650 / 26650, 2,8 Ampere, 3/5 group, XM-L U2-1B, maybe a good thrower with BLF coupon for $48,63

Well you got genuine, not mimic like FastTech is selling.

How do you know, you have both and noticed a difference?

Or you are just assuming based on the low price?

Do not forget the low price of Nitecore EA4 vs competition… The flashlight from FastTech was as real as it can get!

No I don't have both but...

You can see plated bezel and lower quality lanyard (which mimics have). And there is report here:

Of course not. That would be plain stupid.

Sorry, but i am not sure i can decide about plated bezel quality or the lower quality lanyard from a photo, neither the link you provided is very reassuring.

Therefore i could not safely go around claiming which is fake or not. I would prefer to receive the light first and then make any assumption.

After CNY, i expect mine from FastTech, which i ordered just because of the low price as well as out of curiosity for its performance vs the ‘original’

And i will let you know

Why don’t we just put in a request to FastTech for the original SRK (black and gold) and the good driver?

The photo makes it pretty clear that the lanyard isn’t the same as what CNQG sells. Otherwise, I can’t see any obvious differences. The original lanyard was paracord though, and the one in FastTech’s pic is not.

I wouldn’t not buy it simply due to a difference in lanyard, but it makes me wonder if the rest is different too.

The original one looks like this:

I’ve got the gold Fandyfire. Could care less about the designer lanyard (although it did come with original one) or how the label is “aligned” on the torch itself. It’s not like I’m purchasing a Van Gogh or Picasso…. :stuck_out_tongue: I should think the ladies would be pickier than MEN when it comes to “designer aesthetics” “.

As long as the light kicks butt, is bright, built to take it, and comes in at a bargain price … I could care less about the “authenticity”.

Gives rise to new term here on BLF “SRKSNOBBERY”.

I agree with everything you just said, however I could never get into that gold color, I have never been and probably never will be a gold guy. Here's to hoping we can get some definitive info on the quality of the black version because I'm tempted to pull the trigger on one myself.

Darth for $57 bucks is no brainier… Who would have thought a SRK in black and Darth
for under $100 beans. That’s a lot of lumens for the money…

I have an original gold SRK and I love it. Aside from the great output and low price, it’s probably the prettiest light in my collection. I picked it over the black one for aesthetic reasons, though the black one is quite handsome too.

Been away for a time or so Buwuve and things may have changed, but when the cursor hovered over a link in your last thread post, shareasale.com came up.

I checked on shareasale.com and, though not a scam (as well, it’s offered as an affiliate by fasttech) I wondered why the link below for your post?

thanx

2.7~4.5V XML-T6 2-Group 8-Mode LED Driver Board, with overheat protection
3A output version
5A output version

Except for modes and components they seem to be a bit simular to these from intl outdoor:
4A
5A
I would probably take the intl-outdoor drivers if not looking for 2-group driver. I have been looking at the 4A version for a future build…

First thing: Yes sharesales isn’t scam, it’s an affiliate for fasttech.

Fasttech is back from China New Year.

They have a nice thrower Niwalker 750N1 and send it out with 2x Panasonic 3100mAh (unprotected) and a charger for $96,08 without coupon and with BLF coupon $91,28
Not aff-link

The 2x 18650 have a value of $14,10 and the charger of $7,72. If we say: Only the battery are useful you get the flashlight for $77,18 - this is a great price.

Here is a great review about it from selfbuilt

Best price I found was about $120 on going gear (without charger and 18650 Panasonics)

The next product are two lenses with 28mm x 2mm for $1,12 and with code $1,07
Not aff-link

Aren’t 28mm are prefect for Solarforce L2 group? The lenses are not coated, but as a replacement for a heavy scratched lense useful.

What the…Really?

Catan, of course. “I’ve got wood for your sheep!”

Or maybe some of their customers simply don’t have access to wood but want to try making a camp fire. I dunno.

I wouldn’t suggest ordering it though, since many countries have very strict customs controls about wood due to the pests which can be living inside. At one point, my company tried to ship a bleeding edge expensive rack-mount network server to China, and it got turned back by customs due to the pallet it was shipped on. It’s ridiculously expensive to ship an 800lb computer which takes an entire pallet … twice … not to mention the shipping insurance on something worth six figures.
