Do you ever browse BLF from a mobile phone or a device with a small screen

95% Galaxy S2

Sometimes I get the .instead.of.spaces too. Also many beamshots are hard to tell apart (or even see) or I make some comment wrong about a picture that looks different on the small screen.

If not on the computer, I use my phone with a 4.5ā€ screen.
I do not like typing on it thoughā€¦ moving the cursor to somewhere other than the end is a nightmare.

I clunk it out on an ASR33 teletype running at 110 baudā€¦ J)

OK, I have sent a pm to SB, will try to find some plugins/filters for Drupal, so that % stuff will be activated automatically and will only downsize the image! So on big screens it will be shown with original resolution and will not fill the whole monitor. Thatā€™s the best solution I can see.

Unfortunately, that wonā€™t be easy. The WIDTH=XX% tag that we can type in when attaching an image is a raw HTML tag. Unless something has changed with the HTML specification that Iā€™m not familiar with, there is no MAX-WIDTH (or similar) tag. It would require actual processing on the server side (likely with Java feeding it the resolution of the client browser).

I donā€™t think itā€™s going to be a simple fixā€¦

well, we can introduce the desired res manually then :expressionless: (if it canā€™t be done automatically). You will need to know the res of all your posted images but well, I will do it to all images myself just to not see all those supersized small images fitting my screen.

The only thing Iā€™ve posted on a computer is my recent review, otherwise its all on my mobile. I have started using the photo tool to tailor size to 100% though rather than using the href link.

I use phone for browsing almost daily.

Posting/browsing on my original EVO about 75%+ of the time since day one.

I got a Nexus 7 last week, and havenā€™t quite got used to typing on it yet (my first touch screen). Also donā€™t really like reading the forum on it, as my eyesight is not great. Brilliant little device though, with some great apps. Havenā€™t got tapatalk yet, which might help.

Start with your signature! Itā€™s the only picture out of margins in this thread, reading in on an iPad (I took a screenshot, but Iā€™m afraid to post a huge picture (specially after sacruā€™s extremely detailed instructions)ā€¦ Trust me, it is a bit big

I use my iPod touch most of the time,
But thatā€™s only because of the convenience it brings.
Typing on it is a pain!!
I love using my pc much much more!
I love using the mouse.
Hate typing on an iPod, hate copying and pasting! Hate the apple crap for not allowing me to use Firefox, hate not being able to delete some crap software on my iPodā€¦ Sorry getting off topic here.

But very convenient to quickly check my mail and BLF.
Many times I donā€™t answer emails, just because I donā€™t like typing on it.

I do with my Galaxy Note II

Small screen? Yes, only 24"

24" is usually the smallest. I have an 11.6" netbook I almost never use

My desktop is old and broke usually im viewing the forum on my 32ā€ tv as the monitor , so im on my iphone 95% of the time

Hi everyone,

Yep, thereā€™s no simple fix. Sorry that thereā€™s no real way to optimize it for everyone on the server side (Drupal), especially given that the images arenā€™t hosted on the BLF server, but rather on image serving websites. This does, however, sound like a feasible task for a browser extension. Anybody have any suggestions along these lines?

600 pix out of margin? Well, on your iPad. 600 pix on my monitor is almost invisible. Makinā€™ it 100% will convert it in POS in my monitor, filling 10 times more space on it. Making it small and Iā€™ll lose my vision
