Fasttech - interesting new products - Flashlights, chargers, batteries and DIY and knives - please no discussions.

I agree with everything you just said, however I could never get into that gold color, I have never been and probably never will be a gold guy. Here's to hoping we can get some definitive info on the quality of the black version because I'm tempted to pull the trigger on one myself.

Darth for $57 bucks is no brainier… Who would have thought a SRK in black and Darth
for under $100 beans. That’s a lot of lumens for the money…

I have an original gold SRK and I love it. Aside from the great output and low price, it’s probably the prettiest light in my collection. I picked it over the black one for aesthetic reasons, though the black one is quite handsome too.

Been away for a time or so Buwuve and things may have changed, but when the cursor hovered over a link in your last thread post, shareasale.com came up.

I checked on shareasale.com and, though not a scam (as well, it’s offered as an affiliate by fasttech) I wondered why the link below for your post?

2.7~4.5V XML-T6 2-Group 8-Mode LED Driver Board, with overheat protection
3A output version
5A output version

Except for modes and components they seem to be a bit simular to these from intl outdoor:
4A
5A
I would probably take the intl-outdoor drivers if not looking for 2-group driver. I have been looking at the 4A version for a future build…

First thing: Yes sharesales isn’t scam, it’s an affiliate for fasttech.

Fasttech is back from China New Year.

They have a nice thrower Niwalker 750N1 and send it out with 2x Panasonic 3100mAh (unprotected) and a charger for $96,08 without coupon and with BLF coupon $91,28
Not aff-link

The 2x 18650 have a value of $14,10 and the charger of $7,72. If we say: Only the battery are useful you get the flashlight for $77,18 - this is a great price.

Here is a great review about it from selfbuilt

Best price I found was about $120 on going gear (without charger and 18650 Panasonics)

The next product are two lenses with 28mm x 2mm for $1,12 and with code $1,07

Aren’t 28mm are prefect for Solarforce L2 group? The lenses are not coated, but as a replacement for a heavy scratched lense useful.

What the…Really?

Catan, of course. “I’ve got wood for your sheep!”

Or maybe some of their customers simply don’t have access to wood but want to try making a camp fire. I dunno.

I wouldn’t suggest ordering it though, since many countries have very strict customs controls about wood due to the pests which can be living inside. At one point, my company tried to ship a bleeding edge expensive rack-mount network server to China, and it got turned back by customs due to the pallet it was shipped on. It’s ridiculously expensive to ship an 800lb computer which takes an entire pallet … twice … not to mention the shipping insurance on something worth six figures.

So I’ve started to check FT new arrivals page again and saw this…

5000ma 17mm driver

Looked interesting, thought I’d see what you guys thought… They also have a 3000ma version here.

So can anyone tell me if these look good? I happen to be in the market for a 17mm driver but these both are a little overkill for the project. I’ll probably stick to an Nanjg 101-AK-A1, but still would like hear if anyone has seen/used similar products.

That is an interesting design. Basically it uses one 7135 and a FET to boost the current up to 5A. I’d be interested in seeing just how well regulated it is. At 4.2V, 5A you would not be in regulation very long. The resistance path of the light would begin to limit the current very quickly, essentially becoming direct drive.

Fasttech sell now the Nitecore EH25 for $54,50 if you use the coupon code BLF

Rewrapping a 18650 battery. HKJ show it in this thread and fasttech sell a similar product
1 meter for only $0,84 with the coupon BLF $0,80

1 meter is enough for about 13-14 18650 batteries.

You may wish to read the new wallbuys post

Panasonic Batteries (2 x 2600 mAh) w/case here.

KingKong 26650s are listed now too. Button top and flat top.

You post the best things of today
Here is a review of HKJ: King Kong 4000
. He tested the flat top version.

About the Trustfire Mini: It’s the normal (high, lo, strobe), not the BLF special Mini (high, mid, low).

@jakey: I read the Wallbuys thread and post my comment. For me Wallbuy works (only the reservation list with their special sales is a bit crazy, but the prices of the sales are often great (Xmas, New Year Sales)).

I was meaning they have ,been banned but you were posting deals from there website (i did not know if you knew this ) :exmark:

Damn, now they have the XPower Wildfire, AKA Thrunite T30 for $54 not including coupon:

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1699/10003046/1270200-x-power-wildfire-ha-iii-cree-xm-l-t6-3c-550lm-3-mo

If ever there was a light I wanted as handsome as this light that I never got round to buying it would have to be this one. Just wish it were driven harder than 1.75A.

Foys great review here:

About Wallbuys: Thank you for the banned information. Until now, I have only a small problem with wallbuys and will buy in the future, if the offer great prices. But I will notice the 45 Paypal day dispute limit.

Here some additional information about the XPower:

INTL sell it for $57,89, the genuine ThruNite labeled version cost $59 in the ThruNite-store (incl. free shipping).

Here is the review of HKJ about the ThruNite T30.

The XPower of fasttech has two advantage: A cheaper price (with BLF coupon $50,33 T6-1A / $51,57 T6-3C) and the really great point: 2x spacers. You can use it with two 18650. ThruNite and INTL send their flashligt without the spacers.

The great Nitecore EA4 Cool White or EA4W Neutral White for $46,60

At the moment the EA4 Cool White is out of stock, but the Neutral White EA4W is back (only 10 pieces are avialable at the moment). Use the coupon PRICECONTROL to get the $46,60.

There is nothing wrong with affiliate links... They do not increase the price for anyone, they simply are helping out a fellow BLF member. ;)
