Uniquefire L2 XP-G R5

Well there was talk on the other side about the SF and UF light coming from the same factory.....If i could find one without the camo then im in for one. Would be nice to take the clip off my L2M and keep it holstered.

Five minutes with a Sharpie colouring it in while I was on the phone

I may invest in some black dye and dye them properly (I have 6 more of these coming for my P60 lights) but this will do for just now. Colouring in is quite fun really. Like you Al, I'm not fond of camo finish ever since I tried to shower off cam cream in a cold shower in Germany. Felt really sorry for whoever in the Mess ended up washing the sheets and pillowcase.

I might have to order one and buy a box of Rit-Dye and see if that works.

At less than $2 a time, what have you got to lose - I've also ordered 6 more of the AA ones which are only $1.49 a go.

I have a rather large piece of unfinished leather (but it is quite thin). May try to make some holsters for the more oddball sizes but my previous attempts weren't very successful. At the worst all I need is a belt loop and some sort of ring to hold the light.

Are you talking about the UltraFire brand holsters....i have a couple of those and there made better then the ones that i got from DX.

Yes, they are the Ultrafire branded ones from DX.

AA size - 29354

18650 size - 29355

Ultrafire C2 size - 03701

Could do with one Aurora SH-032 sized - the 18650 sized one is too big and a longer version of the AA holster for the Trustfure F22. Something around the size of the one that came with the Smallsun ZY-C85 but a little smaller in diameter would be fine.

Thats not the one that i ordered......i bought the open design with no flap. Its the same one that comes with the C3.

I have the small and medium Ultrafire holsters from DX. I use the small one for AA lights

and the medium one for my Ultrafire 504B.

I can recommend them both. Very nice and cheap.

I also have military style Molle holsters and they are exellent, but pricy.

The one that i use for the D10 which have served well for edc use is still in the same holster that i got from DX......you cant beat the price and it has held up for over 2 years now.

Gotta link Al?

Which one....the UF holster from Kai is nice and holds the light well.......

the one for the D10

Sorry bud i cant seem to find it now.....the other one that i like over at DX seems to be gone as well.

I've been looking at the Uniquefire L2 XP-G R5 flashlights on DX for a while now. Does anyone who own these also own a Solarforce L2? Is the Uniquefire L2 thread compatible with the Solarforce L2?

I know of other members use Solarforce tailcaps on theres......I have a buddy that that switches bits around and the only thing not changeable is the bezel.

That's interesting, because the Solarforce L2 clone made by Ultrafire (forgot what model it is), isn't thread compatible with Solarforce. I was thinking since this is another one of those SomethingFire brands, they would do the same stupid thing and not make the parts thread compatible with other brands. It doesn't surprise me the bezel isn't compatible though because it seems every company makes their bezels different from the original design of the Surefire 6P. The only 2 china brands that make their flashlights fully thread compatible with the Surefire C/P format are Fire-Kylin and Xeno. Both those brands are higher quality (like Fenix, Jetbeam, Olight quality level) and so their pricing is up more.

I cant say for sure though.....looking for the read on cpf now so bear with me.

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=3011154&postcount=50 I think that this is the link you might be looking for......Its not the UF but arent they really the same light.

Yeah I am aware of SpiderFire's Solarforce L2 clone and it's actually pretty good as I have a couple of those myself as well. With SpiderFire, they kept the Head, Body and Tailcap thread compatible with Solarforce, but not the bezel. Not Sure why they did that either. So I guess we're not really sure if the UniqueFire L2 is compatible or not. Thanks for trying though. I guess we'll have to wait for someone else to chime in here about it.
