Just recieved my Quark mini CR2 s2 edition!

No, the regular Quark and the extender?

There are no extenders for quarks, just seperate body tubes.

i looove my mini AA.

it's so tiny and super bright(250 l) on a 14500. hidden flash modes

had it for over a year now, and now problems

a welding spark melted a hole in my lense, though :(

I just order the 'panasonic' 5-pack of CR2 batteries from DX :) They will last me a while.

SO you seem to love this light, right? I wait impatiently for my Quark 123. After that it may be a matter of time and money to collect all of the Quarks :)

I guess Quark 123 head and 2xAA body makes it a Quark AA2 automatically. I hope they release 18650 body again one day.

Please report how Panasonic CR2's last with the Quark Mini CR2. This light sounds even a greater one after those tiny yet powerful AAA lights I have.

Its "Panasonic". From DX.

lol, exactly why I said 'panasonic'.

Yep, I love this light indeed. The other quarks are calling me as well.

The only light that called to me was the Mini 123X, but the Thrunite Neutrons extinguished all want of Quarks.

Do you have one yet? If not, pick one up and do a review for us;) it’s been calling to me as well lol

If it'll take the voltage, DX sells RCR2 cells for not a lot.

UltraFire 15266 3.6V 600mAh Batteries (Pair)

The DX white "Panasonics" are almost certainly fakes or more than 6 years old. My bet, fakes.

Look at the small print to see if they were made by Matsushita Elestric

Yeah, but it goes into uber mega turbo mode with em.

As in self destruction?

Personally, I won't buy lights that require disposable cells.

No, direct drive.

Like most Fenixes.

I hate the waste of disposable cells - not to mention the last time I saw them in a retail outfit here - at $9.6 each.

I buy whole lights for that, not disposable CR2s.

I can't think of a Fenix that does that.

P2D P3D both of which I own.

Those are older....and pretty much all EDCs are brighter on RCR.

Yup. But I'd prefer a design that didn't do that. That's OK in cheap lights. But I don't regard Fenix or 4Sevens lights as cheap.

They really don't because buck drivers are more efficient than buck-boost.

The 47s Qmini lights can use LiCo rechargables - the circuitry will handle the voltage just fine. The problem is that they don't have the mass to dissipate the heat when used in the high setting. So LiCo rechargables should only be used on low or medium. Keep High just for the wow factor when showing off. I prefer to use LiFePO4 cells in my Qmini lights, so I can get away with using it on the high setting and avoid using primaries.
