26650 tube light that's not an a8

subscribed to this thread… im interested in that host at that price if you can easily mod it

I’m not seeing the m10 beaten at this price point, if I didn’t have an m10 already, that’s the one to buy, tube wise the a8 is the same.

But I’ve spent less than I would on a steak for these two and I feel we need to redress the BUDGET in budget light forum :expressionless:

Gords, I have to ask - why cant you use an A8? It is arguably the best built 26650 light made for any price. Easy to mod, built like NASA engineered it, rock solid with a beautiful, durable haIII finish. :~

Thats a good looking light you posted gords

It states that is a SMALL SUN ZY-T03

Because I already have a blf a8

I actually wanted something in the m10 range, , just that tube light was cheap enough to justify a punt on. Both lights cost less than one a8, and I’ve seen nothing on either, you never know, it may be a diamond in the rough, I doubt it, but it was worth a look.

Yes, I avoided googling it as it would likely result in another reason for mrs gords to fall out with me….but please feel free to look on my behalf……

[Rolls eyes]

Your are right, Gords, (as always). Yep, I bought a Giveaway torch from easebon (same seller) and it was a Zoomie. But, after examining the link posted, it is not the same as the Zoomie I bought, and I also believe, now, that this is a regular flat lens torch, sorry, next time I will not try to jump the shark…

Gords, I’ve always had an eye for the light. Reminds me of my Skyray 856. I figured it would be underdriven, but should be a very easy driver mode. I may still get one.

Hi Gords, the clone you have is the JM05 not the JM07, just saying.

Fasttech do have a light very similar to the JM07, I wouldn’t call it a clone though:

Pretty much same dimensions as the JM07, 41mm head diameter. A lot more expensive at International outdoors:

I’ve also held the PAlights in hand in store, the anodising and knurling is top knotch. Held against my Nitecore MT26 (not the quad beast) I couldn’t tell the difference in quality, they were very nice lights:

Hey Gords
What was your opinion of the UF-2200 ?

Flo, no worries

Richie I was wondering the same thing, the one I saw looked to be single cell though which was what had me interested.

Who killed jr, I thought the jm05 was two cell, jm07 single cell? I have called it both on occasion but is a poor copy of the original. :expressionless:

Suncoaster, I like the uf-2200, nearly pulled the trigger too. Just wanted to try some left field options. Johnnymac reviewed this light I think, but I cant find the review at the moment :~

The JM05 from memory also had a slightly larger reflector than the JM07.

Well, both lights were marked as dispatched as of 8.30 gords mean time  guess I’ll fond out if their any good in a month.

That was the UF-2220 I reviewed.

That explains it…

Ah, OK. The UF-2220 and UF-2200 are different lights.

The uf-2220 appears to be 18650. So now I’m in a uf-2200 quandary…. :~

If only someone can confirm this body will fit into the DST head . . .

Gordsy, you owe me a pint for this. :expressionless: Since the JM07 is one of my favourite lights, I feel like I have to explain this for some reason.

Here is the JM07:

And here is the JM05:

The clones we have is the single cell JM05 version.
