Lightmalls Has XM-L2, P60 Drop-in

The 12mm star is nice.

I just ordered a KD 1 mode 3-18v drop in to mess around with for a weapon light, and a 12mm star for swapping onto my R5-A3 which currently has a T6.

Just went for a drop-in. Thanks!!!

Glad that I just paid for and installed a bunch of U3 emitters in lights, thinking that the xml-2 emitters were months away. :0 Oops.

Good price!

are these on copper stars now. J)

Match them up with these 501B’s. (3 for $12 delivered)

Coupon code (SNAPSHOT) for 5%. off Total for three is $11.75 paid with paypal.

The new XM-L2 emitters they sell are U1-1A. So the specs on the drop-in are most likely referring to the tint. Would be very strange if they offerend newest emitter and the driver only pulled 1amp…

Its a great price… Im curious how they can sell it that cheap compared to the price of XM-L2 emitter. Makes me think the emitter is overpriced and that the drop-in is a bargain…

Does lightmalls have something in common with kaidomain? Just curious since both stores have same XM-L2 emitters and drop-ins at almost the same prices…

Pretty soon, nitro will have some BLF, copper stars in 16mm…

Kaidomain XM-L2 drop-ins for the nice price of $11.99

Cree XM-L2 U2 1A 1400 Lumen 3V-18V 1-Mode OP LED Lamp

Cree XM-L2 U2 1A 1400 Lumen 3.7V-4.2V 5-Mode OP LED Lamp

Cree XM-L2 U2 1A 1400 Lumen 3V-18V 1-Mode SMO LED Lamp

Cree XM-L2 U2 1A 1400 Lumen 3.7V-4.2V 5-Mode SMO LED Lamp

I wish they would say what kind of drivers. If anyone finds out please let us know. I’m sure I will be buying from one of these two, possibly both. If anyone has any advice please help fill me in.

+1

I went with the Kaidomain 5 mode SMO. I just bought the one. I bought three of the hosts so now I have two more left to decide what to do with.

I went ahead ordered a SMO and OP 1 mode yesterday from KD and emailed them asking about the current. They replied to me this morning:

They didn’t update the pages for the 1 mode versions, so hopefully they are the same.

Sounds like it may be direct drive.

Thanks Lgr-45.

Interesting, thank you.

Hello Guys I have been reading a number of your posts and they have been very helpful. I would not have known about the new XM-L2 if not for BLF. I am defiantly a noob and need help choosing a drop in for my Surefire 660 classic. It currently has the original 6v P60 and a DL223AC Lithium battery installed. I followed the links you posted and the 26.5mm SMO CREE XM-L2 1800-lumen 3~18V 1 Mode LED Drop-in would be nice if it is compatible. I would prefer the 5 mode version but it shows a max voltage of 4.2. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You could get the 5 mode version and some protected sanyo 16650 from international outdoors, coupled with a good charger and your all set.

I got a reply from KD today about their 1 mode drop ins.

They are listed as 1400 lumens, but this can’t be right with 1.8 A can it? I guess we will see :~

Thank you for the info. My EOTech exps3-4 uses a CR123 battery it would be nice to only carry one type. I appreciate your help and all the great info here. One more question. What is a very good charging solution for the protected 16650s. Thanks

No. They often list maximum lumens, or sometimes more. Its “chinese lumens”. Never trust them!
XM-L2 should be around 1100-1200 emitter lumens @ with 3A to the led.
1,8A should give it around 770 emitter lumens roughly estimated…
