501B hosts 3 for $12 delivered from Sunsky.

Just received notification that mine were shipped today, with tracking number! A good start to Sunsky.

I cannot locate where to enter the coupon code. The $0.30 I would save is irrelevant; it bugs me that I cannot find it!!! |(

I agree!! I just gave up. lol.

I gave up and ordered two of the silver ones, plus another sub-$10 XM-L light. I’ll do something with them someday

They have some $6 xml drop-ins I am tempted buy to go in my hosts that shipped yesterday.

Can someone point me in the direction as to where to input the coupon code? Maybe its the one-hour-ahead thats messing me up, but I can not find it and I just want to go to bed…

thanks!

Go to “your basket” and directly above the words in bold “you need to pay” is a box for the coupon code. I hope this helps.

thanks for the info! i did try that earlier and just tried it again but it didn’t work… perhaps the coupon code is expired…. :frowning:

Thanks again and much appreciated!

My order was marked as shipped last night.

got my order today, although I made it long ago back in early Feb it did include a 501b in silver and the cheap xml drop-in they have

Quick play and host looks good, very light has to be said but no marks or dings, threads are lightly lubed and has o-rings on all the right spots so quite happy with this

the drop in this cheap one is 5 mode (high,mid.low,strobe.sos) and seems decent enough output wise, maybe a bit of purple in the spill bit spot is nice and slightly warm so happy with that as well, pwm is ok on medium but more noticeable on low, will have to try it out when it’s dark to see if it’s annoying or not.
looks to remember last mode used as well which is good.

think I’ll use one of the faster shipping methods next time though as china post took forever, also no shipping invoice inside so not sure what the point of being able to customize one was?

Thanks for the feedback furythings. Sounds like as good as could be expected for the price. After placing my order, I wondered if I should have just purchased the $10.00 501’s from Lightmalls because you also get an emitter, reflector, pill, springs, and maybe ok driver that way.

Got my two silvery hosts today, not bad at all for the price . Putting single mode R5 with to CR123 in each and leaving them in my wife's car

If anybody has a chance can they snap a few pics of these? Curious to see what they look like in the wild, haha.

Got mine today. Only complain is the tail cap. Will order the GITD from FastTech.

Sorry for the iphone cam. Will take a better one next time.

Can’t find the silver ?? Link and I don’t see a place to add the coupon code

Mine was listed as gray but came in as silver:

Gray

I couldn’t find the coupon the other day either. I used it the first time no problem. I have a C8 with that same silver/grey finish. It’s not too bad it seems to hold up well enough.

I ordered this from them the other day, four AA lantern. I never did get to use the coupon.

Same here. Not able to use the coupon. I think I was also not able to find out how to apply them.

sixfifty,

Do you know of any lanterns that use 18650?

Just the flashlight kind.

It ended up selling it. It just didn’t work all that great. I should have modded it by frosting the glass or something, but I don’t think the design is all that great. What really does work well is a white plastic vitamin bottle used as a diffuser. Or the ultimate. Three sheets of white typing paper taped together lengthwise rolled into a tube placed around a SRK. That sucker would light up a gymnasium.

Meh…the 501 hosts are on level for what you pay for them. I ordered the Grey/Silver ones. Kinda cheapy feeling. What I can’t understand is…why did they paint them? Aluminum is already silver…why not leave it in its natural state?

I have not bought P60s for them yet. Putting a nice XM-L2 in there might be a little much compared to the cheapy feeling quality of the hosts. Perhaps there are some budget P60s out there that would match the quality of the host a little better.
