Solarforce M6

But it does: "Low battery voltage alert function: when the overall input voltage drops to 2.8V, the light will automatically switch to the candle-mode (8 lumens)"

Looks like a nice light, wonder if they will sell the host only?

I wouldn't imagine so & the parts are proably not compatible with the L2* which is something they keep doing and shouldn't!

Nice! Wonder how hard it's driven?

Rich

Love that tail switch.

I e-mailed Jo at solarforce-sales and got this response about 30 minutes later:

Dear friend,

For the M6, its still in production and will availabe very soon, in 5-10
days
As its still not avalable for selling, so that we don't put it in our

I wonder how much? Ah well, I guess gratitude comes in all forms. We're probably a tiny sliver of thier overall sales I suppose so, hopefully it's not too much $$.

I suppose this isn't P60 compatible, correct? I really like the looks of the brightness control ring. It looks really nice. But I would also estimate the retail price to be around $60, if not more.

I guess it will be somewhere between $44-55 :)

Yep. Or, at least $50. You'd think with all the business I've sent there way . . .

I'm surprised they don't have a BLF discount with all the business they get off of this forum.

I think they do get a lot of business from BLF. we r converting everyone that visits into a solarforcefan thanks to Foy and his reviews and pics. Foy should be our official solarforce rep. I went to look at SF this morning and found that the grey L2is are gone. the L2ms have been gone for 2 weeks. and im sure the L2ps will be gone again soon. FOy the M8s are now $85.99 so its closer for your acquisition. The M6s are nice and cant wait to see their price.

I've e-mailed links to the site and then, just for fun you see, I e-mailed (this Jo that always says thanks every time we order) my amateurish reviews to him (her?) in an effort to point out not just what little I've done but the general feeling of most people here. This board is called "BudgetLightForum." I'm not saying everybody agrees but many here see Solarforce as the top of the budget heap so, if I were Jo this site would be of paramount importance to me. The top budget flashlight forum with a whack job like me all excited talking with spit accidently landing on nearby lapels and it seems they don't even know we exist.

There is lots of interest in these lights. The L2P review has been visited 1,142 times in 12 days, the L2 1,214 in 18 days and the three Solarforce reviews I've done have over 3,000 combined visits. In each of those threads are many people saying they are on thier way to solarforce-sales to make a purchase. I'm not sure it has as much to do with me and my stumbling inexperience as it does the product itself and how well positioned thier line-up is relative to what might be thier must lucrative customer base. Or could be if they would spend just a little effort ala Jim at Manafont.

I suspect they are still being led astray by CPF and their forward clicky obsessions...

You're right on the SF obsession we have. Any review makes me visit sfSales. I already have L2, 3 mode R5 Drop-in, 3 extenders, 2 flat bezels, holster, clip, lanyard ring, L2p, L2i, L2r, SF CR123s and maybe SF 18650s and a L2m in the following days. I just can't think of another body for DIY.

Will definitely buy an M8 one day, and seemingly an M6.

Hope they're going to make that switch available for parts ... & it fits a L2P.

She is!

Till she fails to waken me at 4am!

Washing carpets isn't my favourite job...

A small price to pay for such a magnificent animal.

One of my cat's is remarkably picky about her litter tray, if she has already used it she wont use it again and will instead wee on the carpet exactly where I take my first step down from the stairs in the morning. I'm sure she does it on purpose.
