I have some Black & Decker tools that use them, and will gladly trade your pack in exchange for 10 brand new high power cells of your choice (even CGR18650CH’s). I have quite a number of new CGR18650CH’s on hand, but can also get most other high power cells from Samsung or Sanyo for example. Or I’d also trade other flashlight stuff that I sell for one or more of these packs. PM ME!
You willing to take all you can get? I’d rather not take a trip to auburn if not neccisary. Don’t even know if they have any. But I’ll find out for sure if we can make a deal. Can you get Panasonic’s?
Yes I will take as many as I can get. I’m offering people up to $60 worth at edcplus.com or 10x Panasonic CGR18650CH’s. Or I can get other cells like Panny 3400’s etc.
Several hundred amps available from the circuit, I would think. Fuses are a good thing.
Another thing to bear in mind if anyone’s poking around in their household wiring with cheap five dollar meters - they don’t usually have much in the way of protection, internally. It’s not unknown for professional sparkies to use cheap sheet meters and blow themselves up when poking around a main distribution board.
>>>>>And I just happen to have a good use for these packs for my B&D Tools.
I am not going to go back through all the threads and look up where I saw this, but I +DEFINITELY+ saw that this BD power pack is very limited in its use for BD tools. I was looking up trying to find what cells were in this pack and I saw several threads where people wanted to use this pack for X tool or X thingamabob, and they were told it would not work. If you’re after these for a specific use, you no doubt have all this covered and have checked what you can use these packs for, but its use did seem to be pretty limited.
I also remember the HD guys telling me it only works in BD string trimmers and that’s why they have been sitting on the shelf for next to forever at 75% off. But they were HD guys after all, so I have NO idea how accurate that statement was/is.
Quick Google look-see shows it compatible with the LST136 string trimmer, LHT2436 hedge trimmer and LSW36 sweeper vac —— and nothing else I could find. But then — like I said — I did not do anything even remotely resembling a thorough search.
Yep. I have a string trimmer and its awesome. I also have a 20v B&D Blower, but will get a 36v soon. They are great tools. And yea right now those 3 tools are the only ones I know of that use the 36v packs. Probably in the future there will be 36v drills and other yard related tools (chainsaw perhaps?). I have quite a few B&D 20v tools as well, they are great. After all B&D owns Dewalt and Porter Cable, so they make some pretty nice stuff. In fact there are many porter cable tools that are simply rebranded B&D’s.
Good to hear that they are performing well. Also I’m curious what the pack date is on these. It should have 2011 or 2012 stamped on the black top of the pack.
the one i got was a 2012. but my average cell voltage was lower than everyone elses. maybe my multimeter is finally crapping out? on full charged cells its reading 4.12v… maybe my cheap trustfire charger or maybe the multimeter…
So I only bought 3 packs. These showed 2 bars when I pressed the test button, the rest showed only 1 bar… lets see how the voltage is … time to open 1 up.
