Its great to see that no one has blown themselves up yet to save a few dollars on some very low capacity cells. I hope it stays that way. Good luck to all…
Who would of thought that drilling out a screw head would spin the screw deeper into the pack and almost pierce one of the cell casings all the way thru. It was very close. I brought that cell outside and it vented there.
When I was taking mine apart I was literaly sitting 3 feet from the door with an ammo can, a gas mask, and a shovel (to pile dirt on it). That thing was scary...
And Yes I will take all the packs I can get. I will keep a few for personal use and have other uses for them as well. May even use a few in an electric scooter wired in series.
If everyone does end up trading packs to me I may end up with over 50 haha. >) Then I can power my house! j/k
Just picked up one, the HD store had 2 more sort of hidden on a top shelf (location kept secret!). If EDCPlus stills wants them, maybe I'll PM him because the pulling apart sounds scaru, uhhmm, scary. I got the Samsung INR 1500's (high amps) listed at $6.18/pair from FT, so $2.30 isn't much of a savings, though they are out of stock now...
These batts are great for XM-L2/SinkPAD single 18650 cell, over-driven lights btw. The Samsung INR's do 3.9 amps - no problem, and 2 in parallel can do 4.25A (T08 for example) - no problem.
