Snow snow go away!!

Seriously, I am done with winter. This year it started early and just won’t go. As tomorrow is the first day of spring I suggest we pass a resolution banning snow until next year.

It’s not just the roads, and my driveway either. It’s seriously cutting into the use of my flashlights. How am I supposed to check out the throw on my lights when it’s snowing again. I swear each time I get a new light it snows for three nights straight just to tick me off. Today I got my new BTU Shocker so of course it’s snowing like mad. Snow should be illegal. However, that probably wouldn’t be a good idea because somehow I would end up getting a ticket.

Keep your stick on the ice!

Where are you from? I am in winnipeg, manitoba, canada and we have been sitting at –20c STILL!!! Tonight is –30c with the wind chill! and just got 25cm of snow. Last year at this time it was +20c!

Ready for spring, just like you!

I’m in Northern Michigan. Not as cold as you but cold (14F last night) and like I said it started early. We had snow in October and it hasn’t left.

Yeah, enough already.

My dogs are loving it though.

Where is Northern MI, because if its south of the bridge it’s not northern

Nature can be curse as well as a blessing. Guess, we need to live with it.
:davie:

LOL I’m just South of the Bridge but my hunting camp is in da UP. That makes me a fudgy or a troll.

Is this the end of Global Warming?

My son was so excited this morning to see more snow on top of the old dirty snow. I was not quite as enthused.
I do vaguely remember reacting in a similar fashion when I was a kid; as opposed to the grown up kid I am now

If you guys didn’t use the metric system it would be a lot warmer and the snow a lot less deep… only –22 degrees and 10 inches of snow.

We’ve had spring-like weather for several weeks, so most of the snow is gone. I think it’s a trick, though; I ain’t taking the snowblower off the tractor until May.

Just got in the door from a 13.8km night ski tour exercise. Temp was –7 and 5cm fresh snow made for a real fast track, which made it very enjoyable. GPS said average speed was 4.5km/hr with top speed reached of 18.6km/hr. With conditions like that, I’d take winter year round! Pity you in Winnipeg however.

Same weather pattern here in the Northeast of the US another 100 plus inches of snow this year well into the top 5 for all time snowfall recorded ever. It’s very interesting to note the top 5 snowfalls records of all times for my region occurred from 1992 to present and they have been keeping records for well over 100 years. I am ready for spring.

Mine too - they love to do snowplough impressions with their faces. It also prevents this.

But my gas boiler isn’t working and I’m spending a fortune on electricity (About 33 cents per kWh) instead.

Snow - go away right now! And some warmth would be nice too.

It is not quite as cold here, but it should be 10 deg. C. now but it will be subzero for the next five days. It is the time of year to walk in the park with my 2yr old son without scarfs thick coats, gloves and moaning about the cold wind.

From what one of my customers is saying, it’s a lot warmer in Amsterdam than it is here. I’ll find out more when she arrives here tomorrow.

we’re in the same boat (snowplowing with faces and I’m out of oil, using electric)

No idea what oil costs round you - but I’ll bet it is around 6x what gas costs - as it is here. My usual power consumption is around 500W - lately it’s been 5kW (At 33c per KWh).

And I’m cold all the time.

Plenty more on the way for you don, lol, forecast says it’s going to be pretty s**y in your neck of the woods!!, fairly mild in wales however

It’s been crappy for approximately two years now. But one can hope it’ll get better. Despite experience.

The place I spend a lot of my free time is currently –7C and snowing. Again! There is around 3 metres of snow there just now.

I once commuted to work from there - an hour each way. On a motorcycle. In winter.

And spent the work hours in a hospital. At 30C in the cold bits.
