Osama bin Laden is DEAD!!!

awesomeFoy

This is great news, im sure there will be a lot positive and negative things to come from this.

It's about goddamn time! Yell

Finally. Amazing that with the entire NATO arsenal and spies it took this long.

This will be an interesting story. It may be that he's been on dialysis and was laid up in bed when he was killed. Also interesting how local officials were unaware he was there, for how long, or the extent of a coverup. Also interesting what it will do to relations with Pakistan, esp. since he wasn't that far from their own capital and they seem to have been out of the loop on an American military incursion into their country. Lastly, I'm looking forward to hearing about how it was actually carried out, apparently by Navy SEALs. I heard one helicopter was damaged and left in place, but with a couple of dozen troops there must have been several helicopters involved.

Back on topic . . . I wonder what kind of flashlights they used?

I just heard a report about 10 minutes ago that the damaged helicopter was subsequently destroyed and that there were no US troop casualties related to this mechanical failure (suspected) precipitated crash.

You think it took long enough?

aperfectexcusetoparty!

Two thumbs up.

Then again... I'm glad to live here on the outskirts of Europe where's not much to see or to blow up. Pretty sure central Europe have a shitstorm inbound...

Dang! The only man who knew the real truth is now conveniently silent forever. Osama was a frontman and will be regarded as a martyr no less by those who will be infected with his propaganda. USA is notorious to clean their mess pretty nicely but under Bush administration people grew tired by the government overdoing it...

Now i dont want to start a whole Weapon of mass desturuction neverfinding topic but it surely it was stinking...

Blah. I'm not sure i am happy or not because if he got a bullet that was in a way of thiniking too easy...

One thing i am sure... He was no angel by any means but he got accused for way more thah he eventually did. The real truth will be known 40year in future as usual and i willl be way to senile to give a damn. :/

I'm just worried about the payback by the sleeper cells/ extremists. Take care everyone.

OUTSTANDING! I hope he is enjoying he 40 virgins now!! But somehow I don’t think he will get them in hell. I’m sorry that I will never get a chance to piss on his grave.
Since there is no shortage of martyrs, I don’t see his death as having much impact. Im sure his supporters around the Mideast will torch American interests in the region. Big surprise there. Heathens are always looking for a reason to rampage anyway.

The 2007 Bin Laden video is a clear fake so he has probably been dead for at least 4 years. The only question is why make the official announcement (with a cover story to go along with it) now?

lol, yeah  This time was his brother, Usama >)

Osama Bin Laden: Born and died at the CIA in Langley.

I love how they say that they buried him at see.

But I'm willing to bet that they just threw him off the side of the boat with the trash.

Hitler's death was also announced on the 1st of May as well. hmmmm

Coincidence? hmmmmmmm

I found these Osama Bin Laden pics on another forum:

I interested to see those pictures of his body...I hear the left side of his face is missing.... haha thats what you get you terrorist bastard

Personally I'd have preferred it if they'd taken him in alive.

Despite the severe complications that would have caused. And I am well aware of just how nasty those complications would have been.

Extrajudicial killing is called "murder" or "first degree homicide". No matter who ordered it.

There was no justification whatever for Bin Laden's killing without due process.

I'm opposed to the death penalty, but others disagree. If he'd been executed after due process or even killed "while trying to escape", I'd be a lot happier about it.

This is the price we pay for civilisation.

Yes, Bin Laden was a "war criminal" but so are Bush, Obama, Bliar, Brown and Cameron. To name those only from the US and UK.

Should we just shoot them out of hand? If it is good enough for "terrorists", it is good enough for those giving the orders in our countries. There is either a rule of law or there is not. It applies to everyone or nobody. This was a blatant violation of the rule of law and is no cause for celebration even if the world is a very much better place without the likes of Bin Laden in it.

It would equally be a better place without those who gave and carried out those blatantly unlawful orders. See the "Nuremberg Defence".

Though this is what I actually believe. I'm well aware this is dropping a lit match in petrol (gasoline) but i feel very strongly that arbitrary exercise of power is a lot more dangerous than anything Al Quaeda could do.
