NiteCore EA4 @fasttech $46.60

Go Go Go!

Done! I know I’m telling the wrong crowd here, but this is the most I’ve ever paid for a light- by 25 bucks or so.

I think you’ll be happy.

NiceCore’s lights are of a pretty decent quality. I just wish it didn’t have its ridiculous MAP pricing. :frowning:

This was my first expensive light as well. I’ve always owned $10 lights. It’s a great light for those that don’t want to invest in non-AA batteries.

Was my first “premium” light purchase also… Was well worth it. You’ll love it

Thanks for the reassurances. I was torn between either this or the King on which to get first, and this one seems much more practical for the time being. Plus I’d have to add another $15 to $20 onto the price of the King to account for batteries.

I just got my EA4. Great light, pocketable and throws a mean beam for 4xAA

But I’m not sure I received EA4W (NW version). The box says “EA4 U2 SMO”. How do you know which version is it?

the warm will say EA4W right on the light itself

Paranid, it should say EA4W on the side of the light. Mine came in an EA4 box.

Can you (or anyone) post a photo?

Because I think I received CW version, I ordered NW.

Mine looks exactly like this

Here you go:

Thanks Chloe and Pulsar!

Off to Fasttech support then :Sp

Aww, how annoying! I’m sure they’ll sort it out for you quickly.

I don’t remember what my EA4W box said because I recycled it, but on my EA4W, “EA4W” is laser etched onto the flashlight.

The same thing happened to Woody (I think), and he and FT had it sorted quite quick. Not sure how they made that mistake though. The W is hard to miss on the barcode on my box. Probably rushed because we’re ordering so much stuff

This would be my guess also. They have handled everything super fast with excellent results for me.

I had a similar problem when I ordered a EA4W, but didn’t notice that the box said EA4. As soon as I switched it on, and pointed it at the wall (in daylight) it was obviously not a neutral. Then I looked at the box ….

Mind you, this could explain why Fasttech are out of stock of the c/w version, yet have the EA4W still in stock.

Are the boxes meant to say EA4W on it? The “manual” sheets that came with mine also say EA4.

I think it’s a waste to print two designs when a barcode would be enough.

Mmmm, can’t remember. I bought a EA4W a month or so ago, and think it came in a EA4W box. Certainly the light had it printed on it. Just checked with the Fasttech site - the images of both the box & light are of the EA4, so perhaps that’s why there is confusion in the warehouse.

The manual I had with the EA4 was an update from the earlier one, which had the wrong instructions on how to get out of lockout - the new version was correct (long hold).

fasttech will certainly make things right.

I just checked my box and there is a silver sticker with EA4W on it and a barcode. So the mix up might be from testing the lights.
